No better Tuesday than when it’s your Friday! I am so excited to get out of town with the hubby for a few days to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this week of love on the blog than recapping our trip to the City of Love.
Brandon is not very big into going to any place twice, but I LOVED Paris so much he promised we’d be back ๐ Holding you to that hun!
Okay, so this post is going to be a little different from my other travel itinerary posts because I gotta be totally honest with you and let you know that everywhere we ate was on a whim as we were walking through the city and I can’t remember any of the names for the life of me! Sorry! And I was taking photos of all the menus so I wouldn’t forget but….I deleted them too LOL
But don’t worry I still have a great list of what you must do when you are in Paris!
Where We Stayed:
Les Jardins du Marais. Serious kudos to Brandon because this hotel was so cute!! The first day we got there pretty late and as we were going up the elevator Brandon was like “I tried to get a room with a better view, but we checked in so late they had none left”.ย Of course, I didn’t mind at all because HELLO! we were in Paris. I’d be happy sleeping in a box!
We got to the room, unpacked and naturally I just opened the blinds and what do I see?! The most beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower!! The BEST surprise! I think Brandon’s a keeper guys!!
This hotel isn’t really walking distance to the Eiffel tower if that is what you are looking for, but it is only like a 10 minute drive, super affordable and trust me when I say you can still get such a great view of the tower and the city from this hotel!!
Coffee & Sweet Tooth Fix:
Literally, EVERYWHERE! This is not a drill guys. I can’t count how many street crepes I had and I am surprised I got any sleep with the amount of yummy (and pretty coffees) I drank!
Where We Shopped:
EVERYWHERE! Do you see a pattern here? LOL.
There are literally streets lined with the cutest shops, both retail chains and local boutiques! Places you definitely want to see/shop at:
Rue de Passy- boutique after boutique after boutique on this street! #heaven
Avenue des Champs Elysees– one of the most famous streets with the beautiful Arc de Triomphe view on one end of the street. From Chanel to Sephora to Zara. You are sure to find cute items here. At least I did! ๐
Rue Saint Honore– ultra chic, designer boutiques.
Galleries Lafayette– OMG, this is somewhere between “overwhelming and I feel so at home” LOL. You could seriously take up a whole day shopping here!!
Ahhhh, Paris I just love you!
So obviously, I really enjoyed our stay in Paris. I would go back inย a heartbeat and my biggest piece of advice for you would be to literally walk around the city. We rarely jumped in a cab and one day we even got like 40,000 steps in before dinner without realizing it. The city is beautiful, the people are so chic and the pastries are to.die.for. Although French food is not our favorite we did not have a bad meal and the crepes are LIFE! Walk around, take it in and you’ll find yourself in the cutest places!
But if you are a list person, I am sharing some must do things while you are there, but like I said wandering the streets of Paris was probably my most favorite thing to do!
Have you been to Paris? What was your favorite thing to do there?!
xo, Roselyn
Paris is wonderful right?!
Omg, it sure is!!!
