I had a whole 6 hours of sleep the past 2 days so I’m going to need a lot of coffee today. I have no idea why I haven’t been able to sleep but I think Claritin D has something to do with it. I told Brandon that it makes me feel like I’m on drugs. I know it sounds kind of funny but seriously it gives me major energy like I need to do 17 things at once. I stopped taking it last month but last week my allergies (thanks Texas!) have been through the roof so I had to take it again as no other allergy medicine has been able to help. If you have any other remedies, let your girl know!
Today I am talking about the 10 things that every working woman should know. I could go on and on about this topic but today I am listing the 10 things I think are most important.
You may have seen on my Instagram stories the other week that Brandon sent me to get diapers and I jumped at the chance because I also secretly wanted to see the new Opal House Collection. I’ve been OBSESSESING over everything online so I wanted to see a couple things in person They have a bunch of things in my neighborhood Target but there are so many more color options online. OMG, I can’t even handle it! I ending up buying this set for our guest bedroom aaannddd basically I’m redoing the entire room now LOL.
So between grabbing the diapers, obsessing over all things Opal House I also managed to grab a few cute clothing items. Shocking, I know. 🙂 I wanted to share them here because I will be shooting quite a few looks in the upcoming weeks and I’m not sure I’ll be getting to shoot these any time soon. I wanted to share before they sell out!
Usually I am up super early Monday, Wednesday and Friday writing my blog posts before baby wakes up and before I head to work but I am actually writing this on Sunday night this week! Drinking a big glass of wine 🙂 Nonetheless getting my blog post done!
I would also like to share that I meal prepped 4 new recipes PLUS 2 snack options today after we celebrated a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese (baby Weaver’s first CEC experience I must add) so I def deserve this glass of wine 🙂
I’ve had this top for less than a month and have already worn it 5 times. I wore it to work the other day and had to ask myself “did I wear this yesterday?” LOL
The Perfect Embroidered Dress + 25 Random Things That Make Me Happy
Happy Monday Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend!
I had a fun filled weekend enjoying a mini birthday staycation with my best friend and then yesterday baby Weaver and I went to celebrate Simplicity and Coffee’s precious little girl’s 1st birthday! So basically birthday celebrations all around! 🙂
So….last week I got a spray tan and when I woke up the next morning looking like a bronze goddess :), I thought to myself, “being tan makes me so happy”. LOL. I started to think about all the little things that make me happy and I wanted to share them with you along with this vibrant dress that I can’t help but smile when I wear it!
Libby Edelman Spring Top: Date Nights To Play Dates
You all know I love a cute new outfit but when I can snag new trends at deals so good I don’t have to hide them in my trunk until hubby goes to bed? Even better! 🙂
I’ve partnered up with JCPenney to showcase two of my favorite trends for Spring. Can you guess which two? Gingham and off the shoulder tops of course!
As you may know, I have featured JCPenney looks on the blog many times before, both sponsored and non sponsored because I adore them so much! So affordable and always on trend.
Today I am sharing this super cute ruffle sleeve blouse and how to style it for a summer date night or a mommy play date!
I love a good off the shoulder look because it makes you feel like a hot mama without feeling like you are revealing too much. You know what I mean? This one has the detached sleeves so you don’t have to consistently pull at your blouse for it to stay in place. The halter neck tie adds something extra and I love the statement sleeves, duh. It easily transitions from date night to errand running. I am wearing a size medium and would say it’s definitely true to size.
The gingham heels in the first look (swoon!) are Libby Edelman as well and we all know that gingham is hot, hot, HOT for spring and summer. I am wearing my true size 7 and they are so comfy with the block heel. Also, a great option for mama’s taking your little one’s to date night, haha! Currently, our life 🙂 But I ain’t complaining! Just swapping out the stilettos for a comfier (but still cute!) shoe. 🙂
I hope you all liked today’s post! Your favorite posts seem to be the ones where I share how to style something multiple ways so I will definitely be sharing more like this!

Not only is Spring my favorite season of the year but wedding season has begun and that just makes me so happy!
Today I am rounding up some of my favorite wedding guest dresses including this light blue lace cutie!
Most of my picks are under $100! Just click the photo or scroll over to see the price. I also added a tab under my shop page here that I’ll keep updated. It has so many more options as well as some white dresses for the bride to be!
I hope everyone had an amazing weekend filled with love, family, friends and fun!
I was a little MIA from social media as I had been away from my family for a few days and I was trying to get in all the baby snuggles before the work week hit us again! Ahhh, Monday here you are 🙂
Today I am sharing the top ten sellers from the blog for the month of March.
Either so many of you are headed to Disney soon or you just have Disney in your veins because the top 2 sellers were mine and baby’s Disney tees!
You can find mine here. It is a little oversized but I got my normal size medium so that I could wear it tucked in or knotted. Baby’s #squad tee can be found here. I bought it n white and gray.
Free People Lace Bralette | Yes yes and yes. An essential for spring and summer as I mentioned in this post. I am wearing a size medium.
WAYF Lantern Sleeve Dress | This dress is one of my favorites. This dress reminded me that I need to find somewhere to wear this again! I sized down to a small in this dress.
Sole Society Braided Sandals| 3 colors and on sale for $40! The lower heel make them so comfortable and they can easily be paired with your summer dresses. I would recommend getting your normal size.
Loft Marisa Tie Waist Pant | Every working gal needs these ankle pants in her life. They are so flattering and you can take them from work to the weekend. I styled them both ways here. I got a size 4 petite.
Multi Color Gingham Dress | I haven’t posted this to the blog but I posted it on my IG stories and it was a hit. I should be embarassed that the spare room was a hot mess and my mirror was dirty but this dress is so cute and so perfect for summer! Also, look at sweet Tex lol. I recommended sizing up one size. I ended up getting the 6.
Grey Midi Dress | A little conservative, a little sexy and a whole lotta flattering! The front draping detail makes a great fit for any body type and I love the length, I sized up to a 6 in this dress.
Quay Aviator Sunglasses | Clearly these are my favorite sunglasses as they seem to make an appearance in like every photo, haha! They are such great quality and I love that they are only $65.
Wrangler T Shirt Dress | Yessss, so glad you guys liked this! I joked because I don’t own any wrangler jeans, cowboy hats or cowboy boots. I asked my husband if this qualifies me as a Texan now, lol. I am a sucker for a good t-shirt dress especially when traveling. This one is a great length to be chasing a little one around the airport as well.
Let me know if you have any questions about any of these products!
365 days ago you were born. 136 days ago you were brought home to us.
I want this letter to be a permanent reminder of how wonderful you are and how much you are loved. Watching you take joy in each day fills us with so much happiness and seeing how strong willed you are at 1 year old is proof that you have everything inside of you that will get you to wherever you want to go and be whatever you want to be.
Baby Weaver, I’m not exactly sure why obstacles are thrown our way. I want to believe it’s to teach us different things and to make us stronger individuals. What I do know is that the obstacles that your Daddy and I had to endure brought us you and I’m not sure there could have been a happier ending.
There are no accidents and God brought us together for a reason. You have changed our lives and you, my son, are our answered prayer.
I remember the evening I first held you like it was yesterday. It’s crazy to think that at 2pm one afternoon we were rushing home to meet you and by 7pm that same evening you were fast asleep between us like that’s exactly where we were all meant to be.
This is exactly where we are all meant to be.
Your Daddy and I weren’t there on day 1 but I promise we will be here for you everyday going forward. We promise to teach you, to guide you, to never keep you from anything that makes you happy (unless it’s a girlfriend 🙂 )
I know some things may not make sense to you. Sometimes they don’t make sense to me either. But we can focus on what we do know. You are so loved. You are so smart. You are so funny. You are so kind.
I love you so so much baby boy. It’s a bummer that I currently cannot share your smiling face with the world but I want you to a look at this picture and see the smiles that you put on Mommy and Daddy’s face simply by being you.
I love you, Mommy
