5 Two Piece Matching Sets That Are Office Appropriate
Happy Wednesday loves! It’s no secret that I love the matching two piece outfit trend so today I am sharing 5 matching sets that are office appropriate! First up this pretty set for Ann Taylor Factory.
I love the fit of this tweed top and skirt from Ann Taylor Factory. I also love the tie detail on the sleeve. So many of my work outfits have been from here lately. They have the cutest items at such great prices! I am wearing a small in both pieces for referencing. Our sweet cousin actually works at the Tanger Outlet location and she pulled this set for me. Do you think she knows me? I think so! Haha. I know many of you work in an office as well and are always looking for cute items for the work place so I am linking 4 other great sets below! Be sure to tag me if you purchase any of these sets. I love seeing you all in outfits that I share! #twinsies 🙂
Ahhhh, October 31st. The day I thought everyone was dressing up in costumes, handing out candy and in the best mood all because of me…until I was about 5 years old and realized it was actually a day people called, Halloween LOL
In natural Roselyn fashion, I was preparing for this birthday post about a day ago 🙂 and asked you guys to throw out some questions that you would like me to answer. Below I answered the most frequently asked questions plus some other fun ones. I hope you all enjoy and I hope it helps you guys get to know me more!
Q. What did I want to be when I was younger?
A. I remember always telling everyone I wanted to be a model until I was about 8 and then somewhere around 10 I decided I wanted to be a lawyer, lol.
Q. What did I go to school for?
A. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I actually ended up trying to go into dental hygiene my first year of college. My mom wanted me to end up in the medical field I figured dental hygiene was a happy medium for the both of us. The day they brought in a cat for me to dissect I knew I was not about that life. I immediately gave into my passion for fashion and applied for a Fashion Merchandising program. My mom was a little sad at first and really didn’t understand what exactly I was trying to do but she supported it and we both couldn’t be happier now. So long story long, I have my degree in Fashion Merchandising.
Q. What brought me to Texas
A. I always laugh a little on the inside when someones asks me this. Because I don’t want to get into the whole back story I usually tell people I moved here for work but honestly I moved to Houston for an ex-fiance. That did not end up working out but I couldn’t be happier that I ended up staying here. Everything truly happens for a reason.
Q. How did I and Brandon meet?
A. Brandon and I met through mutual friends. We were friends for a few years before we actually started dating. True story is that I was way more into him than he was me, lol but then he finally came around 🙂
Q. Favorite Hair Products
A. You all know I love trying new products all the time but currently my favorite shampoo and conditioner is from Pantene, favorite dry shampoo is this one by OGX and fav hairspray is this one by Moroccan oil.
Q. Favorite Places To Shop?
A. I am an equal opportunity shopper so if you have been following along from some time now you know that I can do some damage in both Nordstrom and Walmart. I love hunting for styles in boutiques and I love finding a good deal (for the both of us!) but if I had to name my top 5 they would be Target, Nordstrom, Asos, Shein and Loft stores.
Shopper tip: I finally added a “Where I Shop” section on the sidebar of my blog. If you click on any of those links to shop, I will get credit/commission from that retailer. A lot of you are so sweet and ask for links so that I get credit. This is an easier way to navigate to a certain retailer instead of having to search through blog posts to find the link in a post. I even get credit if you click on an item in my post and end up buying an item outside of what I linked. That’s just FYI. So again, THANK YOU for shopping through my blog and my links!
Q. One beauty product I can’t live without?
A. Omg, this one is so hard. Do lash extensions count? Haha. Honestly, if I was stranded on an island and could only have one thing I would have to choose my aquaphor advanced therapy. So random I know but I use it all day everyday.
Q. Why did we choose to adopt?
A. Long story short, my husband and I always wanted to adopt. Our plan was to try and conceive first and then adopt our second baby but our plan changed a bit. Again, I truly believe everything happens for a reason and we are so happy. You can read more about our adoption story here.
Q. When will we reveal baby Weaver’s name and face?
A. Ahhh, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, I PROMISE! We are finally over the biggest hurdle and now just have to process the adoption paperwork. Trust me, I am just as eager to share than you guys are to see!
Q. Starbucks order?
A. This changes all the time but lately I have been getting the salted caramel cold brew.
A. I’ve talked about what I do a few different times. I work in Supply Chain Management as a Procurement Manager. But I have never mentioned the company I work for. I know this may sound weird but I feel like telling the world exactly where I work is like giving someone my home address. I’m sure after me sharing tidbits about my company, one could Google but honestly I just feel weird putting it out there.
Q. Do I have plans to blog full time?
A. Ahhh, the million dollar question. I have gone back and forth on this so many times. If I disliked my company and current role I probably would say yes in a heartbeat. RoselynWeaver.com has provided us so many opportunities that I only dreamed of 3 years ago but I truly love the people I work with and I enjoy what I do. Plus they provide such great flexibility when needed that it would be hard for me to leave. More corporations should follow their lead on this. I work from home one day a week, they are so family oriented and again the people I work with on a day to day basis make my job seem so far from work. So the answer is I don’t know lol. Maybe I will need more sleep now that I am 35 but until then I am okay putting in my hours towards the blog from 9pm-3am with photoshoots on my lunch break 🙂 Yes, I may have a breakdown once a quarter but #worth it haha
Q. Do you make money blogging?
A. Yes. I talked a little about that in this post. Influencer Marketing is huge and is just growing. There are so many different ways to make money blogging. Hustle hard and the potential is endless.
Okay friends, I will end this Q&A sesh here but this was sooo much fun! I love reading things that you guys were curious about. One of the things I didn’t answer here is “who is my favorite blogger?” I love this question but truthfully there are so many bloggers I follow for so many different reasons! You guys have inspired me to do a series on this. I think I’ll share on Instagram stories. I’ll keep you posted on that!
Thank you all so much for the great questions and just for being so great.period. ILYSM!

Hey beauties! I am super excited about today’s post because I am talking about one of our most favorite things! SHOES! More specifically, I am talking about the 5 hottest shoe trends you need this Fall season!
Shoes play an essential role in every outfit. Whether you are styling an outfit for work or the weekend, your shoes complete your look! Luckily, I am partnering up with DSW today to point you and your shoes in the right direction!
Leopard Print
Of course I had to start with leopard print first! Whether you are a sneaker lover, a boot lover, or a heels lover; you need a pair in leopard print! I personally love these Sam Edelman heels because they make any outfit look chic! You can wear them with a skirt and graphic tee like I did below or you can style leopard print to the office without being “too loud” for the work place. That is what I love about shoes and accessories. Being able to try a trend like leopard print in a small way when it’s out of your typical comfort zone.
Here are leopard print options for every shoe lover:
2. Over The Knee Boot
Fall season after Fall season I boycotted this trend. Not because I didn’t love over the knee boots but because I couldn’t find the perfect pair that didn’t look like they were wearing me. Do you know what I mean? I ordered a pair last year that looked like it swallowed my whole leg and then I ordered a pair that I couldn’t even get past my calves, lol. Oh, the struggles of being a girl! Once I found the perfect pair, I realized what the hype was all about! These Vince Camuto over the knee boots were love at first sight. Not only did they fit my leg perfectly but I don’t need a village to help me get them off! The easiest way to style over the knee boots is just like I did below. With skinny jeans and a cute sweater! You can easily dress them up with a cute sweater dress as well!
Because I know not one OTK boot will fit all, I am sharing various options below:
3. Kitten Heel Mules
Kitten heel mules give such a chic and sophisticated look to any outfit, like these Vince Camuto ones! I have a girlfriend who hates, I mean HATES, wearing heels and I finally convinced her to buy a pair of kitten heels and now she’s hooked! It’s the tiniest add of height but makes a huge difference in dressing up your outfit. Kitten heels are great if you are uncomfortable walking in higher heels as this style is typically lower than three inches but for this season they are a must have for all! I saw them so much during New York Fashion Week which was genius because you are running from show to show and from meeting to meeting in comfort and style.
Another must have shoe trend for Fall and comfortable style are block heels! This Kelly & Katie block heel looks extra chic in combination with a pointy toe. They are perfect for your nine to five but can also effortlessly be styled with jeans and a cardigan like I styled below. This burgundy color is always hot for the Fall season so you kind of get a two in one trend with this block heel!
Okay, so I saved this hot, hot, HOT trend for last because I know so many of us, including myself, were initially intimidated by this shoe trend. “Is it a fad?” “How do I even style those?” All questions I asked myself and you may have asked yourself too. I ordered them and girl… I love them!! These Fila“dad sneakers” instantly give your look an effortless cool girl vibe and who wouldn’t want that?! Because I know a lot of you girls may still be a little iffy on this shoe trend, I am sharing two different and easily achievable ways to style this shoe trend below.
Additional Chunky Sneaker options (loving the metallic ones!):
Alright ladies, now I want to hear what is your favorite shoe trend for Fall and what is one shoe trend you haven’t tried yet?!
Happy Friday loves! Sometimes I browse Pinterest when I can’t sleep (who is with me?!) and I recently pinned some fun and inspirational Mom quotes that I wanted to share with all you mama friends of mine!
Outfit Details: Tee: Francesca’s (this is sold out so I am linking similar ones below) | Leggings: Spanx | Adidas Shoes: DSW (love the color so much!) | Sunglasses: Quay
Mom Tees:
If you caught my Instagram stories yesterday, you saw that our morning started off a bit rough. Honestly, it was the smallest thing that finally made me breakdown and cry but it was so much needed, lol. I was trying to hide the feeling that I was overwhelmed and it needed to be out there. I cried it out, Brandon came to the rescue per usual and then I ended the night with so many amazing, Godly women. Baby Weaver getting his fruit pouch all over the car yesterday is what made me breakdown but he is the last thing that stresses me out. It was the fact that I overbooked my morning because I knew I was going to be out of the office in the afternoon, it was the fact that I had to shoot a campaign at lunch that was already a day late, it was the fact that I was supposed to be preparing to speak that night to a room full of women so that they could feel inspired and rejuvenated all while I was feeling so stressed, it was the fact that I was simply.doing.too.much.
Being a mom has been my greatest blessing. It’s kind of crazy to think that even if I had to give up all of my other successes to be a Mom, I would do it in a heartbeat. Baby Weaver brings me so much joy, makes me feel loved like no other and brings the biggest smile to my face even after the hardest of moments or day. Honestly, the cry was much needed yesterday. I cried all the way to the office if you were wondering lol. You guys were sending the sweetest messages yesterday. My sweet friend Cynthia even said “I heard crying cleans out your eyes so you need that every once in a while”. Is that true? Or were you just trying to make me feel better? lol. Either way it worked.
Anyway….sorry I completely got off topic there. Today I want to share Mom quotes that I can relate to oh so much! Some funny and some inspirational. I hope you enjoy them too!
Happy Monday! You may have noticed that my love for sequins is at an all time high right now! My latest purchases included this sequin midi skirt, this sequin dress I wore to the Vogue x Kendra Scott event and the dress below I wore to the RewardStyle New York Fashion Week party.
Today I am sharing a ton of sequin dress options at all price points for your next soiree!
Are you guys a sequin lover as much as I am? I just feel like they bring so much life to the party. You see what I did there? 🙂 What upcoming parties and events do you all have coming up?! I’d love to hear!
The month of October is so important to me for so many reasons. Did you know that over 250,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year? If you know us personally, or have been a reader friend for some time now you know that my beautiful Mom is a breast cancer survivor. I talked a little bit about it in this post I wrote back in 2016. In light of Breast Cancer Awareness month I want to highlight companies and brands that are doing their part to spread awareness and are contributing in any way that they can!
JCPenney has many different promotions going on that all drive support to this very important cause. I am very happy to be partnering up with JCPenney this month to help spread the word on their various promotions. #SephoraInJCP is inviting everyone in to find their “perfect pink” lip color to spread awareness of this important cause! Sharing some photos below of the pink shades that were my favorites from my latest visit. I may or may not have come home with all of them LOL.
While you are at Sephora inside JCP be sure to stop by the salon where they will be accepting donations for the entire month of October. Each customer that donates will have the opportunity to win a basket of Salon goodies!! Also, on October 20th and 21st, 20% of ALL salon sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Honestly you guys I haven’t had my hair done at a JCP salon in ages but I am totally going to schedule a blow out just for this cause. Might as well right?! Houston gals, let me know if you want to have a girls date!
One of the other things they are doing for the entire month is donating $2 from each City Streets BCAM screen tee sold.
So I hope you all join me in doing our small part to help contribute in a major way! If you go in to find your perfect pink, visit the #jcpsalon or purchase a BCAM screen tee let me know! I would love to hear plus I wanna see what your perfect pink shade is! Click here to find a Sephora in JCPenney near you!
xo, Roselyn

Where To Stay In Tulsa, Oklahoma + Top Things To Do
Where To Stay In Tulsa:
We stayed at the boutique Ambassador Hotel in downtown Tulsa and we could not have been happier! The 55 room hotel is located inside one of Tulsa’s most historic buildings. The décor is so chic and modern all while still having an old romance feel. The staff was so kind, helpful and got us checked in and all bags up to our room so quickly when we checked in at midnight!
As soon as we walked into our Ambassador Suite I was immediately delighted! The luxurious décor continued onto each of the rooms and I was so happy to see that there was a separate living space from the master bedroom. With our little one going to bed so early, it’s nice to have that extra space when Mom and Dad want to stay up enjoying room service from The Chalkboard restaturant that was also located inside of the hotel.
Clearly baby Weaver and I were enjoying our relaxing and jumping time on these comfy beds!
Also, if you travel with your fur babies (I wish Brandon would agree to take Tex and Cali with us!), the beautiful boutique hotel is also pet friendly. Baby Weaver was having a ball with some of the pups we ran into in the elevator and lobby!
Since the hotel is in downtown Tulsa, it is the perfect location considering it was only a short drive to most of the popular sites I’ll list later on in this post. The hotel also has various meeting rooms, a fitness center and a complimentary shuttle service.
If you are looking for a first class hotel in Tulsa, I highly recommend the Ambassador Hotel!
What To See In Tulsa:
Center of the Universe | We parked and walked up to the “Center of the Universe” to find we passed it up, haha! Surprisingly there were no signs or anything saying “you are here” so just note that once you park, you have to walk a short distance to the actual spot. There are no signs so just keep your eyes open 🙂
Tulsa Zoo | A must do when you have your little ones
Discovery Lab | This was such a fun space and perfect for an afternoon when it was pouring outside. We were able to let baby Weaver run around and play with all the cool things. It’s sort of like a small scale children’s museum.
The Gathering Place | Holy Smokes!! You guys, this is a definite must see! One of my work colleagues who used to lived in Oklahoma told me that this place had just opened and I am soooo happy we were able to go. I will link their official site here. Even if you have just a few hours in Tulsa this should be the one place you go! This riverfront park was way more than we thought it was going to be!
I know you aren’t going to believe this but I only stopped to shop in one area of Tulsa. Utica Square. We were so busy trying to see all the local things in 2.5 days that we really didn’t have time to shop much!
Lastly, this isn’t technically a Tulsa, Oklahoma highlight but I do want to mention our new stroller that we took on this trip which made traveling a lot easier. I know the description says it’s super lightweight but no joke when we were at the airport I kept looking inside the stroller to make sure baby Weaver was there! It was so light I felt like I wasn’t pushing anyone LOL! This new jet stroller by Silver Cross was made for jet setting kids in mind! It folds to a compact size so small that you can even bring it onto the plane and stick in the overhead bin.
I hope you enjoyed this Tulsa round up. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Hi friends and Happy October! Today I am sharing the top ten best sellers from the blog for the month of September!
Sequin Leopard Top | Eek! I am so happy you guys loved this leopard top as much as I do! It is so cute, so on trend and only $16!
Aldo Quilted Crossbody Bag | Been using this so much lately as you can see in all the photos below! Such a great size for day and night.
Spanx Faux Leather Leggings | Worth the splurge because you can dress them up and down and they hold it allll in! Wearing my normal size medium.
Scarf Print Bodysuit | Such a flattering bodysuit and I love the colorful print! These sizes are selling out fast. In case your size is sold out, I linked some other cute scarf print items in thispost.
Printed Fringe Skirt | You get two trends in one with this scarf print skirt! Size up one size.
Good Vibes Tee | I styled this for meetings during New York Fashion Week and you guys loved this business casual look!
Dolce Vita Karsen Bootie | Love these snakeskin boots so much! I wear thin socks with them so I got my regular size 7.
Striped Sequin Skirt | Omg, you guys blew me away with how many of you loved this! PUH-lease…..send me photos of how you style it! I know you will love it as much as I do!
Baby Weaver’s Plaid Shirt | This exact color combo is only available in one size but there many ther colors. I had my girlfriend’s little sister put the graphics on the back for me. Message me on Instagram if you want her info! She’s the sweetest, a college student that does this on the side.
Floral Print Blazer | Unfortunately the matching blazer and pant set from Zara sold out but the exact blazer is still available at Shein in a size small!
Happy Monday beauties! Today I want to share a trend that I am loving so much and have found some different items at various price points for all of us to try too! The scarf print is so on trend this season and this Versace-esque print is quickly filling my closet! You may have seen my scarf print skirt here and my two piece set here.
Happy Friday! I got a cutie on the blog today! One I call Mom and baby Weaver calls Lola! 🙂 As you know, Mom attended her first fashion week this year and fit in oh so well! We may or may not have coordinated our outfits, haha! I absolutely adore my Mom and to be able to bring her along for a fashion week experience meant so much to me and her too.
Today I am sharing our coordinating looks 🙂 , some of her fashion week agenda plus a few things that will make you LOL
I was so fortunate this year to have worked with many agencies repeatedly that most of my invites were for a front row seat. So naturally Mom got to sit front row, receive swag bags, got all her photos taken by the photographer, etc. I was like “Mom, just know I didn’t have all this front row goodness my first show!” haha. She was loving it.
Mom also attended the Vogue Magazine x Kendra Scott party with me. She got to design her own charm earrings with the KS team and when they handed them to her she was like “these are free?” LOL. My Mom was cracking me up so much during fashion week. I literally need to write a post titled “overheard by Mila at fashion week”.
If you know my Mom at all you know that she is the sweetest, most loving and outgoing woman. But you probably also know that she is as blunt as they come. Not in a rude way, just in a Filipino, no filter kind of way, haha. There was a girl that had a huge, I mean HUGE (and gorgeous!) diamond ring on talking about how her husband designed it for her and my Mom responded with “is that real?” O…M…G… I literally just stood there for a moment didn’t even know what to do. After I picked my jaw off the floor and realized the girl didn’t respond I was just like yes, it’s real Mom then I tell the girl “your ring is stunning”, grab my Mom and just move onto the rest of the party and accept the fact we had an enemy in the room now, lol. It’s hilarious now but honestly I was terrified because I didn’t want that person to think my Mom was rude (she’s not at all!) she was just asking an honest question that other people may have been thinking.
Another funny thing that happened with Mom was we were at a fashion show and both people sitting next to us were videoing live on their Instagram and Facebook accounts. This outfit comes down the runway in front of us and Mom says “hmmm, no one is going to like that”. I didn’t know if we were going to get kicked out of there or if someone was going to hire her! Ahhhh, never a dull moment with my Mama!
We seriously had the best time and you can see why she kept me laughing the whole time. She kept telling me how thankful she was that she got to come and that just meant the world to me guys. When I first booked her flight out to NYC I was stressing out a little because fashion week is go, go, go. It’s not all glam life like it seems. I have back to back meetings, running all over the city and I just wanted to make sure I could schedule as much time as I could with my mom during this time. I am so thankful my aunt and cousins live in New York because they were able to take her to do all the tourist things while I was at meetings!
This might be too deep for a Friday but honestly, I am just at a point in my life that I know our time with our loved ones are limited and I will basically do anything my parents and family ask of me because we may never get that moment again. You know what I mean? So stressing out about schedules, having to pay for multiple hotel rooms, multiple Uber rides to my aunts house and back into the city were just minor things compared to the memories we created during such a special time with the most special person!
Happy Monday beautiful people! Did you have an amazing weekend? I sure hope so! As you probably already know we celebrated my sweet husbands birthday this weekend. And you probably know that because literally that’s all I talked about and shared on stories all weekend, lol! Sorry for the birthday overload! I just clearly love birthdays, especially when we get to show the ones we love how much we love them!
Today I am sharing one of my favorite outfits from New York Fashion Week! This matching floral suit paired with an Adidas bodysuit.
Outfit Details: Floral Blazer: ASOS | Floral Pants: ASOS | Adidas Bodysuit: ASOS (also I know they call it a bodysuit but it’s totally a bathing suit! 🙂 ) but I was okay with that because now I can wear it as a swimsuit! | Handbag: DSW | Heels: Steve Madden | Sunglasses: Quay
I know not everyone would see a completely floral suit and say “I need it” but I am one of those people lol and I loved this suit as soon as it came in. I had to get it hemmed though because I’m only 5’3″ but other than that I love the fit! I am totally going to wear this to work with a plain black or white cami. The Adidas bodysuit was just the perfect touch for this New York Street Style. I am normally a 4 but had to size up one size in all 3 Asos pieces for reference!
So we had such a great weekend celebrating the hubs but I definitely overcommitted on so much (but what’s new?) and now this week is going to be crazy. Tuesday and Wednesday I will be at an annual offsite meeting with our management team and then when I get back Wednesday I gotta pack up the whole fam again for a little family trip and church trip we have had planned. It’s like I say yes to all the things and then later just figure out how I can make it work, lol. Anywho, it was kind of nice prepping for this family trip because we will be doing a lot of kid and outdoor activites so I’m packing a lot of casual wear which is complete opposite from what I packed for NYC. My feet need a little break, haha!
God bless the men who marry bloggers! I mean poor Brandon didn’t even sign up for this! We got married and then a year later, I was like GOTCHA! lol. Today is his birthday so I wanted to share some funny things about being married to a blogger. He helped me with some of these which makes this post even better!
He only loves his bed and his mama, I’m not sorry 🙂
When We Ask You To Take A Picture We Mean Take 100 Of Them. From different angles, close up, far away, a few of me walking. If I’m not looking at the camera, don’t stop. That’s a pose. Brandon has learned to just keep shooting. One time there was someone walking by, asked Brandon the time and Brandon checked the time and told the guy without even missing a beat. He was still taking my pictures, lol. He’s mastered the task at this point.
If we go out to eat please don’t eat your food right away. Let me get a pic first. Possibly even a cheers boomerang if we are having a cocktail. And if that means I have to stand up on my tippy toes to get the perfect aerial shot, just let me be. The faster I get the shot, the faster you can eat your meal. 🙂
Your mailbox will always be full. There are packages at our door daily. Your dining room or whatever room is closest to your front door becomes a mailroom.
We expect you to become best friends with other Instagram husbands. I have met some of my best friends through blogging. It’s because we are passionate about the same things and we understand eachother. We will spend a lot of time with eachother and we just want you to enjoy the other husbands as much as we enjoy eachother, lol.
I know there are a lot more annoying things that Brandon could have shared about being married to a blogger but he was being pretty nice LOL.
If you see this sweet man today be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday! Babe, we love you so, so much and thank God for you every single day! We can’t wait to celebrate you all weekend!
xo, Roselyn
