Fall Wedding Guest Dresses Under $50
Whoa! I am shook about these recent dressier finds from Amazon! A ton of really beautiful dresses all under $50. Trust me, I ordered about 30 to try out for ya’ll and only 13 made the cut! Any of them would make a perfect dress to wear to your next special event, whether that be as a wedding guest or to surprise your man for a date night!
I shared all of these all on stories but rounding them up here so you can refer to them when you are needing that special dress.
Long Sleeve Velvet Dress | This color is even more beautiful in person! Wearing a medium. Size up if don’t want it super snug.
Gray Maxi | Love how flowy this one is and would even be a great bridesmaid dress option if you are looking for something more affordable for your girls but still so pretty. Wearing a medium.
Pink Cocktail Dress | Wearing a medium. Straps are adjustable. Great for a date night or special event.
Black Lace Dress | Wearing a 6. Can’t go wrong with an LBD. Love the peek a boo detail in the midriff area.
Velvet Dress | Looks so expensive and fits so well! You can wear it pulled down to a midi length or shorter like I have here. Pulling it shorter creates a more gathered and ruching effect if you don’t prefer super fitted bodycon dresses. Also can be worn on the shoulder or off. Wearing a medium.
Colorblock Dress | Love this dress and shared it in pink a while back. Wearing a medium. Definitely need seamless undergarments or a slip underneath.
Long Sleeve Green Dress | I absolutely love this dress! So flattering with the ruching and I love the draping v neckline. Wearing a medium.
One Shoulder Dress | So chic and feminine with the ruffle details. Wearing a medium.
Navy Blue Velvet Dress | I don’t think you can go wrong with velvet in the fall/winter. Wearing a medium here but could have totally done a small in this one so keep that in mind when choosing a size. Omg promise you will get all the compliments in this number!
Sheer Sleeve Dress | Love the black but the pink was totally see through! It’s a simple yet chic LBD with fun sleeves. A great option to have in your closet to grab for a special night. Wearing a medium.
One Shoulder Green Dress | Accidentally ordered a large so I think the medium would have been a better option. Stick to your true size. This green dress is so sexy and sophisticated. All the heart eyes for the ruffle detail and sweetheart neckline combo!
Long Sleeve Knotted Front Maxi Dress | Wearing a medium. Love the fit and the burgundy color of this dress. It’s actually a more casual, jersey knit material which I did not expect from the Amazon picture but I do still like this one. I also got the teal color and honestly don’t recommend the teal one for a dressy event option. The teal in this fabric made it look too casual for a wedding guest dress option IMO.

I recently went onto Amazon to find one or two new loungewear sets and I found a ton. 🙂 I love all of the different prints they had to offer in these loungewear sets. Of course, at one point I had like 5 leopard print sets in my cart and had to tell myself that was a little too much LOL. I only kept 3 of the leopard print ones…and then 3 others 🙂

It’s SO soft and I have been wearing it with leggings but how cute is it dressed up with a button up and jeans?! I sized up to a large. You can find all of our items at JCP. Brandon’S Texas Themed Birthday
If you know Brandon, you know his love for his home state is SO real so it only made sense to have a Texas themed celebration for him!
Due to current events, we decided to do something small at home with Brandon’s closest friends. Thankfully some of the wives have become some of my closest friends too!
Even though the get together was small, I still wanted to make the decorations, food and desserts special!
Balloons | Posh Pop Balloons is ran by two mompreneurs who are as sweet and talented as can be! They absolutely blew me away with this 20 ft garland!
Marquee Letters | Alphalit Houston has been my go to for these light up marquee letters! We used them for Brandon’s sisters drive by baby shower. You can have them spell anything you want but I opted for something funny! 🙂
Cake and Chocolate Covered Strawberries | Ya’ll know my absolute favorite bakery is Gali’s Goodies! They have done Landon’s birthday cake (shared here) and one of my best friend’s baby shower cake (shown here) and my SIL’s baby shower cookies (shown here). They never disappoint! Brandon is a chocolate lover so she did a chocolate cake with strawberry and nutella filling! Yum!
Food | Zoe’s catering coming in clutch for a wife and mama running around doing all the things and not having time to worry about cooking! We used them for Landon’s 1st birthday as well! Their food is so good and always a crowd pleaser!

I found this beer the day of at Total Wine and although neither of us had tried it before, it fit the theme perfectly so of course I bought it LOL.
Brandon is so easy to celebrate so we had the best time celebrating him! So thankful his best friends and wives have become like family. It makes moments like these even more special!

10 Amazon Items I Have Been Loving
I feel like this is the most random round up of items ever LOL! But these are some Amazon items that I have really been loving lately and I just realized that I haven’t shared most of these with ya’ll!
10 Amazon Items I Have Been Loving
- Silicone Loofah – A few months ago Women’s Health Magazine had an article about how much bacteria poof loofahs harbor and it made me throw mine out asap! Silicone is super easy to clean when it gets dirty and limits bacteria. Silicone is strong enough that it can even be boiled clean. I’ts also really gentle on the skin so I have one I use for Landon too!
- No Show Socks – Hands down the best no show socks I’ve ever had! I feel like I have tried so many over the years and they either don’t stay up or are too thin. These are the perfect amount of thickness and STAY UP!
- No Show Athletic Socks – The only socks I have been wearing to workout! They have the right amount of cushion and are so comfortable! I just ordered another pack.
- Facial Steamer – An affordable luxury to have at home! I probably use mine every 2 nights when I am doing my nighttime skincare routine. Also perfect for your self care days to give yourself an at home facial.
- Santal Aromatherapy Oil For Diffuser – I smelled this candle somewhere once before and immediately fell in love with the scent BUT when I saw the price tag of $75 for a candle I was shook! Needless to say I didn’t buy it. Well a few months ago I saw a few bloggers share this oil that they found on Amazon and I added it to cart so fast! Ya’ll this smell is L-U-X-U-R-Y! I am obsessed and it’s really a great scent for all year round!
- Folex Carpet Cleaner – Another product I was influenced to purchase because my friend Brit from Hello Honey Blog shared it on her stories. She legit let her son draw on her kitchen cabinet so she could share how easily she could get it off with Folex. I was sold! And so thankful I bought it after I decided to buy these white couches 🙂 Whenever I see a spot I immediately wipe it down with a wet towel, spray the Folex, let it sit for about 30 seconds and then wipe it clean with the same wet towel. It has worked like a charm for me!
- Drawer Organizer – I shared these when we first moved into the house. I still love these! It keeps everyone’s socks and underwear drawer so organized!
- Gold Under Eye Patches – The best, affordable eye patches. I keep mine in the fridge to get an even better cooling effect when I put them on.
- Skin Therapy Oil – This one is probably on my top list of skincare items I’ve ever purchased under $10! You’ll see a difference inu
- Gel Mask – Warning you will definitely look like Jason from the movie Friday the 13th when you put this one but #worthit 🙂 Immediately depuffs your face. You can stick in the freezer for a bit before you put it on to freeze the gel beads. It helps with puffiness, tired undereyes, etc. You can also put it in the microwave for a little heat therapy treatment. The most ridiculous but effective thing I’ve bought on Amazon LOL

Landon’s Superhero Room
For the longest time I was trying to convince Landon that he didn’t need a superhero themed room and look at us now 🙂 The little man knows what he wants and he knows how to get anything he wants from mommy and daddy LOL. I actually love how it came out and he does too!
I saw SO many cute wall decals on Etsy. The city skyline decals are so cool but I wanted to keep the wall decor a little more muted with grays as I knew the bedding and everything else superhero was going to be really colorful. I love how these gray wall decals turned out! These exact ones are from a small business owner in Germany. Honestly, I didn’t even realize that when I ordered them LOL. It took about 2 weeks to arrive but the quality is SO good. I actually ended up needing another set and although there are similar styles on Etsy I ended up ordering from the same shop even with the wait time because the quality was so good and I wanted to be certain they were all exactly the same. We did the 3″ decals. 1 pack of 36 filled his largest wall and then I ordered another pack of 24 for the wall his bed is against. I ended up having about 4 extra.
I got the natural color wood crates and spray paint from Hobby Lobby. Linking the exact wood crates here but I also found some ones on Amazon that are similar. Linking those here. 🙂 I was originally going to fill the top shelves with books but then I realized Landon has like 50 superhero action figures that needed a home so moving all of his books to the playroom! Hero sign is from Hobby Lobby too.

I couldn’t love this superhero wall art more! The Handmade Sign Co laser cuts these and stains them to your liking. The quality is amazing and again, I love that the gray wood is a little more subtle but still total statement pieces. She also has a ton of different designs for around the home. I ended up doing the 11×11 squares, gray stain. Love them!
I purchased the superhero drawer pulls from Hobby Lobby. They are showing as old out online but I’m sure you could still find them in store. If you don’t have a store nearby or just want to order them online. I will link some I found on Etsy below.
I just realized as I was looking at this picture, I totally forgot to put the superhero knob on his night stand! I was wondering why I had extras LOL. Anywho, I purchased this night stand from Amazon. Technically, it’s an accent table for the living room but I was looking for something shorter to look good next to his toddler bed. Also, I know he’s probably going to climb and jump off of it when I am not looking so the shorter night stand was our best bet LOL. We also purchased his bedding from Amazon but there is a similar set available at Target so linking both retailers below.
Probably his favorite part of the room and so nice because he knows where to hang his capes back up when he’s done playing with them! 🙂 #momwin This coat hangar thingy is from Hobby Lobby but I can’t find it online so linking other ones I found below. You could make your own by taking a piece of plywood, painting it and attaching the superhero drawer pulls!
This hero wall decor is also from Hobby Lobby. The capes and masks were the cutest birthday gift from one of our best friends. Linking the set here.
His custom name decor is also from an Etsy shop! Amanda is a mama of 2 and hand makes these custom signs! She was so sweet to custom make Landon his name in his choice of characters. Nasty Gal Try On Session
You went wild over this more dressy try on from Nasty Gal so I am going to upload all of my Nasty Gal finds here for easy finding if you need to go back for size referencing!
Floral Mini Dress | I am typically a 4 in most retailers but I feel like Nasty Gal was a little bit all over the place with sizing on my last orderl. I would highly recommend sizing up one in this dress and even two if you have a bigger booty or are taller. This dress is a true mini 🙂 but I think my favorite from this latest haul!
Silver Sequin Dress | Wearing a 4 in this dress. It is a big longer than I was expecting so I belted it to give me that mini dress look! Looks so cute belted and if you are taller it would be great without the belt too! Also just saw they added this color! Same as the sequin top below!
Sequin Top | Wearing a 4 and I love how it looks with distressed jeans. My jeans are from Nasty Gal maybe 1 or 2 years ago so linking similar ones here.

48 Hours In Fredericksburg, Texas
Oh I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve gotten to do a travel post! Darn you 2020!
I am so glad we got to sneak away for a relaxing 48 hours in Fredericksburg. We had a blast as a family and the weather was perfect! I just wish we could have stayed at least one more night so we could have checked out some wineries but that’s just another reason to get back soon! 🙂
Many of you expressed interest in doing a little road trip to Fredericksburg as well so today I am sharing everything we were able to fit in during our stay that was just a little over 48 hours!
Where we stayed:
Fredericksburg Inn and Suites is recently renovated and walking distance from Main Street shopping and dining. We loved being able to walk most places! The rooms are cozy but our favorite thing about the hotel was the property it sat on. It is surrounded by trees, open area for chasing Landon around, a nice pool area and fire pit which gets lit every evening to relax after a day of exploring.
Due to Covid, they are not serving hot breakfast but they did have some grab and go items like yogurt, cereal, fruit, bottled drinks, etc. But again we were so close to Main street it was an easy walk to all the breakfast spots!
The first evening we arrived we walked to have dinner at the family friendly restaurant, Tubby’s. They usually have a fun playground area for kids open but it’s currently closed for use right now. We sat at a nice open space outside though so Landon was dancing all night to the music they were playing LOL. We ate SO much this night because the appetizer menu was so good! Oh and don’t forget to try the Frose’ 🙂 The fish and steak tacos are the bomb.com as well!
Day One In Fredericksburg, Texas
Breakfast at Caliche Coffee: Ummm, coffee is AH-mazing ya’ll and Brandon really enjoyed their avocado toast! You can dine in but they are also super fast so if you wanted to grab something quick, this place is great!
Morning Hike At Enchanted Rock: I highly recommend doing this while you are in the area! I didn’t know if Landon would love it but he actually loved it the most LOL. You can go at your own pace and hike as high up as you want! There’s over 8 miles of hiking trails, rock climbing and nice picnic areas. The views are stunning and the exercise will make you feel less guilty about all the good food you are going to enjoy while in Fredericksburg.
Lunch at Clear River Ice Cream and Bakery: Instant fun vibes when you walk into this 50’s diner style restaurant. They serve a pretty extensive lunch menu that includes homemade soup, sandwiches and brisket potatoes but their ice cream assortment is something you do not want to pass up! They have more than 75 flavors and soooooo good! They open at 11am everyday.
Shopping: So many great shops but my favorites were Circle E Candles, Gypsies & Cowgirls, Liebeskind Children’s Boutique and Rustlin Rob’s.
After a morning of hiking and shopping we went back to the hotel and enjoyed the pool at Fredericksburg Inn.
Dinner at Burger Burger: A family friendly restaurant also walking distance from the hotel. If you like burgers, this place is definitely a must try! I got the Farmhouse Burger minus the bacon and ham but it was topped with a fried egg, arugula and cheddar cheese. So dang good! Brandon got the Chop House which was a 10oz prime rib burger and it was huge. I didn’t know how he was going to eat it but he did LOL
DAY Two IN FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS
Breakfast at Emma + Ollie: You can dine in to enjoy a full menu of pancakes, avocado toast, hot sandwiches and more. You can also grab some breakfast tacos and yummy pastries to go! Their dine-in area is currently closed but the outside patio area was open to sit.
Visit the Pioneer Museum: Definitely a must see when in Fredericksburg. Learn the extensive history of this German town on a self guided tour. You can stroll through at your own pace. They also have a fun scavenger hunt activity to get your little ones involved and engaged in the tour.
Visit the Pacific War Museum: This was right around the corner from our hotel and since museum’s are totally Brandon’s thing we decided to stop in. The Pacific War Museum is over 55,000 square feet of exhibit space showcasing the human story of World War II in the Pacific.
After the museum we did a little more shopping, grabbed some bottles of wine to take home and then headed home back to Houston! We had a blast during our little family weekend in Fredericksburg. We will definitely be back for the wineries soon!
