Beauty Empties: Love It Or Leave It

Happy September 1st! I cannot believe it’s already September. This year is flying by. Today I am sharing another beauty empties blog post. These posts are quickly become some of your favorites and I love that you guys are loving them! Today I have 7 products to chat about so let’s dive right in!

beauty products review

Nurse Jamie THE FORMUL.A Face Cream

What is it?: A lightweight moisturizer that was originally created for professional use in Hollywood. Includes peptides, prickly pear and red algae.

What is it supposed to do?: Help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while improving hydration and renew suppleness. “Their proprietary formula includes Prickly Pear to help reduce visible signs of aging by improving skin’s firmness, texture and tone for your face.”

How To Use: Apply a thin layer to the face and neck twice daily. Gently massage until absorbed.

Would I buy it again?: No. I am one thousand percent obsessed with the Nurse Jamie Instant Uplift tool but this face cream did absolutely nothing for me. I saw no difference after using it for a month and honestly it wasn’t even that moisturizing. I will not be repurchasing.

Kopari Coconut Oil Deodorant

What is it?: A natural deodorant.

What is it supposed to do?: This natural deodorant is 100 percent plant-based and non-toxic. It glides on clear and is formulated with activated charcoal to soothe underarms and aid in odor reduction.

How To Use: Glide on underarms as needed. PS if you are new to the natural deodorant world, note there is a 1-2 week time frame where your armpits are “detoxing” so there may be a little itchiness, irritation or body odor during that time.

Would I buy it again?: Yes. I have tried about 8 different natural deodorants and Kopari is the only one that I actually like and worked!

Elemis Resurfacing Facial Pads

What is it?: Dual-action exfoliating pads.

What is it supposed to do?: The patented Tri-Enzyme Technology helps to effectively breakup the layer of dead cells. The Probiotic Ferment Complex helps support the skin’s renewal process by helping to promote the physical shedding of dead skin cells, resulting in more radiant, revitalized and brighter skin.

How To Use: Use every morning and evening after cleansing. Smooth pad, texture side down, over the face in a circular motion.

Would I buy it again?: Yes! I saw a difference (smoothness and brightness) in my skin after the first week of using these facial pads! My Mom is a huge fan of every single Elemis product she has ever tried. Cleansers, moisturizers, night cream, etc. I have been a big fan of their night creams but if I had to choose one product from them, this would be it!

Tula Skincare Body Polish

What is it?: A cleansing body exfoliator.

What is it supposed to do?: Cleanses and buffs away dull skin with lemon peel and hibiscus flower acid, improving the look of skin texture and tone.

How To Use: Lather onto wet skin & rinse with water. Use 3–4x a week.

Would I buy it again?: Yes! This was the first body product that I tried from Tula and I absolutely love it! It smells good but the scent is not super strong and the cherry seeds gently exfoliate leaving my skin feeling clean, soft and more even toned! If you want to try it out for yourself, you can always use my discount code (ROSELYN) on the Tula website.

Tula Skincare Prime of Your Life Face Primer

What is it?: A face primer packed with peptides, collagen amino acids & hyaluronic acid.

What is it supposed to do?: A face primer that helps your makeup go on smooth but is also packed with vitamins B & C to help brighten the look of skin while marine algae improves elasticity. The peptides, collagen amino acids & hyaluronic acid work to instantly smooth the look of wrinkles while helping to plump & firm the appearance of skin over time.

How To Use: Apply 2 pumps of this treatment primer & blend into skin. Use as the last step in skincare routine or before applying makeup.

Would I buy it again?: Yes. Not only does this primer help your makeup go on smoother and stay on but I really do appreciate a makeup product with skincare benefits! You don’t get that in a lot of makeup primers.

Drunk Elephant C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream

What is it?: An eye cream packed with 5 different forms of vitamin C.

What is it supposed to do?: This eye cream featuring eight peptides, five forms of vitamin C, and cucumber extract is said to help with fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, and loss of firmness and elasticity.

How To Use: Gently pat one pump around the eye area.

Would I buy it again?: No. While I felt like this eye cream was pretty hydrating, I didn’t notice it helping with any wrinkles or fine lines. I’d save my money if I were you!

Colleen Rothschild Face Oil

What is it?: A renewing face oil to use after cleansing.

What is it supposed to do?: The active combination of precious oils and vitamins offers protection from oxidative stress that results in the appearance of spots and wrinkles. Helps improve the skin’s moisture barrier for enhanced cellular function and hydration without leaving a greasy residue.

How To Use: After cleansing, gently massage 3-4 drops onto face, neck and décolleté. Ideal for evening use when skin is most receptive to renewal.

Would I buy it again?: 100% yes. I feel like I felt a difference in my skin after just the first few days. It absorbs into the skin nicely without feeling greasy. It has helped keep my skin hydrated, lightened dark spots and smooth out wrinkles. I would highly recommend!

Alright friends, those are all of the products for today! As a friendly reminder, these are just my personal experiences and opinions of the products. These posts are not meant to talk negatively about a product, rather share my personal thoughts before you spend that hard earned money!
