Houstonians are lucky for so many reasons, weather isn’t one of them ๐ but the restaurant scene kind of makes up for that! I feel like there are restaurant openings every week and there are so many on my list that I want to try. Today I am sharing 5 that are at the top of my list plus a really cute casual date night outfit.

5 Houston Restaurants On My List To Try
Gatsby’s Steakhouse– I love a date night with Brandon that includes a good steakhouse! A local one we frequent is Killen’s and we always love going to Mastro’s but Gatsby’s Prime Steakhouse has been on my list. The menu offers up prime meats and decadent seafood dishes all while the location gives off Great Gatsby’s vibes. I can’t wait to go!
Flora– The newly opened restaurant took over what once was The Dunlavy. If you have every been to The Dunlavy, you know this space is stunning. The entire restaurant is floor to ceiling windows and you feel like you are literally sitting in a glass building that’s sitting in the trees. The ambiance alone is 10/10. The Flora menu “reimagines what Mexican food can be โ offering familiar flavors and iconic dishes, newly interpreted.” Mexican food? Umm yes please! They also pride themselves on craft cocktails.
Casa Nomad– I haven’t been to Tulum yet but until then Casa Nomad will have to do! ๐ The Mayan inspired menu includes dishes like Tajin melon salad, tamales, tuna crudo tostadas and elote ribs with cotija. The owners, who are also the same trio that own Wicklow Heights, wanted the ambiance to be like a laidback beachfront bar you would experience in Tulum. And from what I have heard from my friends who have already gone, they nailed it!
Rosalie– Fun fact: I had a neighbor on my street growing up that always called me Roselie. I never knew if he was just messing with me or honestly just never learned my real name LOL. But that’s not why I want to visit Rosalie. This Italian restaurant won me over from their very instagrammable decor. It’s girly, chic and so much floral! The bonus is that the menu looks just as good! It includes pastas, salads, pizzas and yummy cocktails!
Kindee Thai Cuisine– Raise your hand if you love Thai food. (raises both hands!) The northern style curry, thai basil chicken and stir fried glass noodles are definitely at the top of my list to try! But what is super cool is that they have “Thai Tuesdays” where they showcase traditional Thai dancing from different regions of Thailand. How cool is that?! I wanted to go here for a date night but I think I might bring the kids for Thai Tuesday!
Have you guys tried any of these Houston restaurants out yet? What other restaurants are on your list to try?!
