Finding this suede dress, brand new with tags and snagging it for only $16? Winning!
How cute is this dress? I love the shade of green and the length of it makes it perfect for date night! I snagged this beauty at Crossroads so I can’t link the exact one but below I am linking 5 green dresses (well 4 and one adorable romper) that are equally beautiful!
If you aren’t already familiar with Crossroads, it’s a fashion resale shop with locations across the US. I actually used to go to the locations in California all the time so I was really excited when Crossroads Texas wanted to work together!
HOW TO SELL TO CROSSROADS:
-Mail in your items: I had no idea they had this option! If you do not have a location near you, just call the store and they will send you a bag with a prepaid label so that you can ship your items to them.
-Drop Off: If you don’t have time to wait in the store, simply drop off your goodies with the buyer and they will get your information and you can come back the next day to pick up your cash!
-Consignment: You can talk to the buyer about the consignment option. Typically for high end designer items. You all agree on a price and when it sells you will get a certain percentage of that $.
-Visit a Store: This is how I have always done it so I had no idea of the options above! I literally just go into the store with my gently used or brand new items and shop around while they sort through my stuff.
HOW DO THEY CHOOSE WHAT TO BUY?
They buy for seasons and they look for merchandise that is on trend. It’s always nice to call ahead and see if they are looking for specific things in case you don’t want to haul too many bins or bags into the store. Of course, be mindful of any damaged products (broken zipper, a tear, etc.) It’s always nice to ask yourself “would I buy this if I saw it in store?”. If the answer is no, then mostly likely they won’t buy it either.
HOW DO YOU GET PAID?
Once they are done sorting through your items and pricing them to put on their sales floor, they will tell you what the total amount is. From the total retail amount you can choose to
a) take the cash of 33% (for example if they priced all of your things at $500 and you opt to take the cash you would get $167)
b) take the trade for 50% – this means if they priced all of your things at $500 then you can opt to get $250 in store credit.
Crossroads is such a great place to help you clean out your closet and make money while doing it! I’ve been going to the Rice Village location so you may see some of The Style Lynn Life stuff there, haha! But I don’t only go to sell, I have found so many great pieces there lately. Sharing a few finds from a recent visit below.
