There’s no secret that I love mixing prints! Today I am sharing 4 simple tips on how to do it effortlessly!
I am a firm believer in mixing prints but I can totally see why people shy away from doing it. It may be a little intimidating at first, but I am sharing 4 simple rules that you can easily follow to rock the mixed media trend.
Rule 1: Match colors not prints. For the below look you can see that my base colors are black and white. Not everything has to be black and white, but if you keep a centralized color theme it allows you to blend your prints more easily. The blue and yellow are my accent colors.
Dress (similar here and here) | Colorful Scarf (similar here and here) | Sunglasses | Clutch | Bracelet
Rule 2: Choose one big print and one small/accent print. Below my small print is the stripes and my big print is the bold camo.
Tank | Button Up | Jeans | Heels | Bag | Earrings
Rule 3: Treat stripes as a neutral. If you have a colorful floral skirt that you normally wear with a white blouse, trade in that white blouse for stripe one. The next time you are thinking about wearing your go-to leopard ankle pants and black button up? Swap that black button up for a striped tank! This is such a great rule to follow as you can see in all 5 of my looks in this post I incorporate stripes as one of my “prints”. I think it’s the easiest way to start!
Rule 4: If you are still not sure about wearing 2 apparel pieces together that are different prints then start small with an accessory like I did below with stripe earrings!

Top | Jeans | Handbag | Heels | Earrings | Sunglasses
Are you convinced about this trend yet?! All you have to do is remember these 4 simple rules and you will be rocking mixed prints in no time!
I can’t wait to see!!
As always, thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog!
