Houston Weekend Adventures

It’s not surprising that I’m sad that the weekend has come and gone, but today I’m especially feeling the Monday blues because we had to drop my niece off at the airport this morning! Waaaahhh! We had the best time having her here with us for a few days and of course she couldn’t leave Houston without a mini photo shoot with her Auntie Lyn!

How cute are these tops from Zaful?! I am a sucker for embroidery detail and so is Iliana so I knew these would be perfect for our shoot. I am also obsessing over the sleeve details on BOTH of these tops! I know some people are iffy on purchasing items from sites that are overseas, but I can tell you that these specific styles from Zaful are of good quality! We are both wearing a medium for reference.

As you may be able to tell from the smile on my face, we just had a blast having here her with us! We took her to some of our favorite restaurants and also had to let her get a taste of some Texas BBQ at Central Texas and good ole Whataburger! Whataburger has become a very popular must have when my family is here from California!

We also got to spend some time at Kemah. Note to self prepare for whiplash on the Bullet. I don’t know why I always forget that! We visited the San Jacinto Monument because Uncle Brandon needs all the kids to know and take in the birthplace of Texas. 🙂 I was also excited to be able to bring her to Style The Girl’s event at Bevello so she could meet some of my sweet blogger friends! We shopped at Houstonia’s Summer Shopping Soiree, The Galleria, City Centre and Baybook. Geez, I guess we shopped a lot HA! We also were able to fit in a Texans game which was extra exciting because it was her first NFL game!

Oh and course I can’t forget that we toured the Pasadena Historical Museum. Not only is Brandon a very proud Texan, but that guy has more Pasadena TX pride than anyone I know lol. He needed Ily to know everything about why Pasadena/Houston is the best place to reside, haha! Oh and fun fact B is actually the President of the Pasadena Historical Society. So if you ever need that backstage pass let me know 🙂

Best of all it was just so nice being able to chat with her and spend some much needed quality time together! So needless to say it was just SO.MUCH.FUN! I hope you all had an amazing weekend as well! What were you all up to?!
