Like how is tomorrow already June! I know most of us say this like every year but truly this year is going by way too fast! May was full of a lot of fun and trying out a few new Houston restaurants so going to round up some favorite my fav things from the month of May!
- We went to Destin for their annual Wine Auction Charity event and finally go to visit Alys Beach for the first time. I totally get the hype! It’s the cutest little beach town and so clean and family friendly. We’ll definitely visit again.
- The kids finished up their first round of soccer clinic. I can’t decide if Camila’s bossiness on the field is a good or bad thing but I can definitely tell you she’s a leader LOL
3. This colorful plaid outfit was yall’s favorite outfit of May and I think it was mine too!
4. I finally tried out First Cup in Pearland. Such a pretty and very big coffee shop where you can even rent out meeting rooms. The first time Cindy and I went I had the iced ube latte, chicken empanada and smores brownie which was all very yummy. The second time I ordered an iced matcha latte in the drive through which was really yummy too and since then I have been through that drive through about 5 times. It’s really good guys!
5. Brandon and I had a date night at The Puttery. I highly recommend if you are looking for a fun date night idea. Try to book a non busy time because towards the end of the evening I did feel a little rushed on one of the courses with a lot parties playing back to back.
6. We took the kids to the Ed Sheeran concert and he did not disappoint. Brandon and I love his music and it was so cute when the kids realized he is the singer who sings Eyes Closed and Bad Habits which they both know very well from Kidz Bop lol.
7. I had brunch with my girls at the newly opened Ojo De Agua in the River Oaks District. Ojo De Agua is a popular chain throughout Mexico featuring a variety of fresh and delicious dishes. I ordered the pesto bowl and added the tuna steak. It was very good but just FYI I thought the prices were a little pricey. Worth it? Yes. But I’m not usually spending $50+ on lunch! It was a nice treat though!
8. Took the kids to play at Bridgeland Treehouse Park. It was so cool! Landon had visit a treehouse on his Summer Bucket List and when I shared that he did, so many Houstonians recommended this park. I am so glad we went. The kids really enjoyed it!
9. Landon learned how to ride his bike without training wheels. My babies need to stop trying to do grown kid things! lol
10. Tried out Bari in River Oaks for a girls dinner. The vibe is amazing for a night out and the drinks were good. Unfortunately my salmon dish was a little bland but I would definitely go back and give it another try! I would just order something else. The Bari restaurant is in the old Tom Ford location.
11. Landon finished up kindergarten 🙁 And no I am still not okay! They did the cutest kindergarten performances and mama was a puddle! I’m going to soak in every second of summer with my babies growing so dang fast!
