Tiny Tutus and Twirls: A Ballerina Bash For Camila’s 5th Birthday

Is your little one turning five and dreaming of a world filled with tutus and all things pink and purple?! Then this post is for you. We hosted Camila’s friends for an adorable ballerina-themed birthday party and the smile on her face all weekend told me we nailed it!

Must Haves For The Perfect Ballerina Themed Party

Invitations – Start the excitement early with invitations shaped like ballet slippers or adorned with charming ballerinas. You could also encourage the little guests to come dressed in their ballerina gear. We didn’t do this because at the last minute Camila decided Landon could invite some of this best boy friends and we didn’t want anyone to feel left out.

I included a picture of the invitations I used below. I just made it on Canva.

Decorations – Transform your party space into a whimsical dance studio with pastel balloons, floating ballet slippers and sheer pink curtains. Creating a magical set up for Camila on a budget was on my to do so I ordered these pretty pink curtains from Amazon and switched out my dining room curtains for the weekend. I utilized some PVC pieces from my husband’s Fantasy Football Draft set up and wrapped them with a pink boa and tulle I already had. I hung some ballet slipper cookies to give it the floating ballet slipper effect and I set up some of the plates and napkins to add to the tablescape.

Sweet Treats– Delightful ballet slipper cookies, tutu cupcakes, and a centerpiece cake adorned with miniature ballerinas can bring the theme to life. I’ve done a candy bar for past birthdays like Landon’s 1st birthday here so that could be an option too.

Activities– Usually the kids are just so excited to have all of there friends over but I like to add at least one thing extra to make the day a special one. You could do a face painter, balloon artist or a character visit. I found this cool ballerina party service after Camila’s birthday party but if you are in the Houston area, this would be a wonderful option! For Camila’s 5th birthday, we rented a princess bounce house from Sky High Rentals and it was a hit with the kids! And some of the moms too 🙂

Party Favors– I didn’t want to just throw a bunch of useless toys and candy in a bag for Camila’s ballerina party so I found these cute printables on Etsy, printed them on card stock and each friend got a pretty scrunchie or a slap bracelet.

I just asked the baker to put a hole in the ballerina slippers so I could put a ribbon through them.
