Beauty Empties: Love It Or Leave It

I have 4 empties to share with you guys today! 2 skincare products and 2 makeup products! Let’s get into it!

drunk elephant product review

Elf Cosmetics Camo CC Cream

What is it?: A medium to full coverage color correcting foundation with SPF 30 protection. “A multitasking dream cream with peptides and niacinamide known to plump, hydrate and smooth the appearance of your skin while protecting with SPF.”

How To Apply: Can be applied with Elf Cosmetics duo brush or beauty blender.

My Opinion: This Elf Cosmetics CC Cream is known to be a “dupe” for the It Cosmetics CC Cream and ya’ll know I love my It Cosmetics CC Cream! Because of this ones $14 price tag I decided to give it a try! Although both infused with collagen, hyaluronic acid and niacin which is great for brightening and evening out skin tone, I actually did not love the Elf Cosmetics CC Cream. It definitely has more of a matte finish versus the glowy one It Cosmetic gives you. It’s also a little heavier than the It Cosmetics one which I don’t totally mind when wanting to wear a full foundation but a CC Cream should feel like second skin and this one did not. This will not be a repurchase for me.

Elf Cosmetics Poreless Face Primer

What Is It?: A face primer that helps fill in enlarged pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. This primer is infused with tea tree and vitamins A & E for restorative benefits and helps blurs imperfections.

How To Use: Apply to clean skin prior to makeup application to prep skin. Use a small amount and blend evenly on your face.

My Opinion: Okay initially I could not get over the smell LOL. I can’t quite put my finger on what it smells like but it definitely has a scent. Some reviews said it is the scent from tea tree oil. Aside from the scent this $10 makeup primer worked really well! You don’t need to use much product at all and it gives you a smooth, silky like finish. It definitely helps camoflauge pores. I would definitely repurchase.

Artistry Renewing Foam Cleanser

What Is It?: A foaming face cleanser designed to be microbiome-friendly. “This cleanser effectively removes impurities while calming your skin’s defense barrier“.

How To Use: Dampen skin with warm water. Dispense cleanser onto palms and work into a lather. Gentle massage over skin. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use AM and PM.

My Opinion: I had never even heard of this product until I got a PR Package from their team. Once I finished the bottle of facial cleanser I was currently using I began using this one. Ya’ll, I love this cleanser! It’s super gentle on the skin and the foaming effect leaves you with an ultra clean feeling. Immediately after each face wash, it left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. I would definitely repurchase.

Drunk Elephant B Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum

What Is It?: A serum formulated with pro-vitamin B5 and pineapple ceramide, to deliver steady hydration throughout the day, leaving the skin looking healthy and more illuminated.

How To Use: Apply B-Hydra™ to face, neck, chest, hands, or any place on your body needing increased hydration. Mix with any Drunk Elephant serum, oil, or cream to lock it in.

My Opinion: I ordered another bottle before I could even write this post! This vitamin B gel was exactly what my skin needed during these colder months. It absorbs quickly so it doesn’t feel greasy and it’s extremely hydrating and lightweight on the skin. Like mentioned above, it can be used on the body as well. I mixed this serum in with the Drunk Elephant body lotion when we were in super cold, snowy weather a few weeks ago and it didn’t wonders for my skin that week. 2 thumbs up for this product!

  1. Thank you for the honest review! A few questions…how many times a week did you use the drunk elephant serum and how long did the bottle last? Thanks again!!
