Even though most of us had to live through Monday twice this week (actually Monday and then back into the office the day after the 4th of July) it’s now Friday and that’s something to celebrate!

So we are headed to California today for a quick weekend trip to spend time with my family! I know I’ve said this a million times but it is so hard being away from my family and even harder now that we have our sweet son! There are days I wish I could drive down the street to my parents house and let baby Weaver see Papa and Lola on the daily. We are making it a point to make sure we fly home more frequently so they can see him grow! Thank God for FaceTime but even that isn’t enough sometimes. You know what I mean?!
Anyway, I love love LOVE Texas so much, don’t get me wrong but California will always be home to me. And since all of my immediate family is there, it will always be my favorite place.
