It was a Monday and my coffee needed coffee.
I met Yash for an early morning shoot at Flat Iron. Right after that I had 3 meetings scheduled and then I went back to my hotel room to pack up my hot mess express. As soon as I finished packing I made my way to a retreat event where they were giving hand massages, talking about new products and had a hair station set up. Basically I think it was what everyone needed after 5 pedal to the medal days!
I only had a few hours between that and my afternoon flight so I left the retreat a bit early to pay my respects at the World Trade Center. I had never been to New York on the 11th of September so the fact that I was there this year I felt it was really important to go. It’s a feeling that overcomes you when you are there. Obviously, it’s very emotional.
If you couldn’t tell these jeans are my favorite and I’ve worn this graphic tee a trillion times so obviously I love it too! I found this sequin blazer on Amazon. It’s somewhere between Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars so I knew I had to have it! Also, I ended up walking by a woman who said my outfit made her think of the galaxy so…mission accomplished. 🙂 I ended up keeping it in a size large. The medium may have fit okay but the upper part of the sleeves were a bit snug. It may have been the Shake Shack we had the night before but it was worth it 🙂
All in all my first New York Fashion Week was more than I could have ever imagined. I feel so very blessed and fortunate to have attended the shows and events that I did. Thank you all so much for reading and for all the messages while I was in NY. I appreciate you all so very much.
Until next September Fashion week, xo!
