The Style Lynn Life Travels: Belfast, Northern Ireland Itinerary

Happy day after election day friends!

Whether you are celebrating a victory and want to plan a vacation from all the anxiety you have been feeling the past couple of weeks or are wanting to fly across the country and stay forever this Wednesday post is for you 🙂  If you didn’t catch last week’s travel post you can still catch our Ireland Itinerary here.

In other world news, raise your hand if you knew Northern Ireland is part of the UK while Ireland has been a fully independent country since 1922? (insert emoji *not raising her hand here) When Brandon and I were going over our itinerary and he told me we were going to Ireland and then stopping in Northern Ireland I was like “why don’t you just say we are going to Ireland?” After a brief history lesson I know understand why LOL. Also, there is literally a wall, the Peace Wall, that separates the two countries.

  Where We Stayed:

We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn City Centre. It was convenient to everything we had on our list to do (and one block from Weaver square lol) and it was also convenient to get from the train station when we arrived from Ireland and also easy to get to the airport where we would depart for Scotland. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Where To Eat:

Okay guys I am usually not a big fan of fish and chips, but OMG literally had the BEST fish and chips ever invented at The Kitchen Bar. I don’t know what they put in their batter but I now can’t have fish and chips anywhere else because it will ruin my memories LOL. Also a place totally worth mentioning is The Cloth Ear. Not only did we enjoy delicious risotto and a yummy burger, but the décor is so interesting to say the least. It was randomness put together so elegantly if I had to describe it! There were wedding dresses framed, mannequins heads in the restroom. A total must see. Also, the local beer of choice is Clonmel and it was quite enjoyable!

Coffee & Sweet Tooth Fix:

J Bird Bakery

Where We Shopped:

Victorian Square will fulfill all of your shopping needs! It was the first time I had ever stepped into a River Island and now I’m hooked! The embroidered boots from this post were my very first RI purchase!

Below I am sharing some of the main attractions that we got to visit along with some we totally want to do on our next trip when we have time to visit the country side! Also, some other tidbits: Belfast is where the actually Titanic ship was built, right next door to the museum is the studio where they film a lot of Game of Thrones, the tale behind Giant’s Causeway is that the causeway was a bridge built for giants and another Irish tale is that there may or may not have been mermaids spotted from the Dunluce Castle. Moral of the story, giants and mermaids do exist.
