Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend!
Ours was quite busy but definitely so enjoyable! We had a fun potluck at church, I got to spend some time with my sweetest friends that I don’t see often enough and the Mr. and I got a lot accomplished. The daylight savings had me up super early so all is good in the world 🙂
Something else exciting that happened Friday is that I was featured on the Fran Blog. I have teamed up with them to show you some fun ways to style essential items! This collaboration was perfect for our recent travels.
What is your biggest struggle when packing for a long trip? If you are anything like me then you answered that with “trying to pack all of your outfits into a suitcase without going over the 50 pound airline limitation. I thought I was so genius when I learned the “roll up” rule. That’s where you literally take each garment, fold it in half and roll it into a burrito like shape. You can seriously double the amount of clothes in one suitcase. However, doubling the amount of clothes definitely does not help with the luggage weight problem.
With that said, you can imagine my stress levels when trying to outfit plan for an 18 day Europe trip. This trip would take us through Ireland, Scotland, Amsterdam, Belgium, London, Paris and Jersey. That meant not only did I have to get my luggage weight down to the 50 lbs, but I would have to carry it on and off trains, planes and also needed to leave room to buy all of our family souvenirs!
I had to pack smarter and my goal was to pick pieces that I could easily dress up and also style down for days full of walking through different cities!
Gayle Lace Up Sweater (the exact one I am wearing below is sold out, but similar styles are here and here)
This cozy knit was a no brainer. It is perfect for pairing with your favorite distressed jeans and I loved wearing it with a fun skirt and embroidered boots.

Suede? Swing Dress? Olive hues? SOLD!
This dress can be styled SO many different ways. You can wear it with your favorite booties and floppy hat or pair it with a denim jacket and your white tennies! Both looks would be equally cute! My dressed up look for a day in Northern Ireland was accessorized with over the knee boots. Later I tucked it into my distressed denim for a fun, casual outfit.

I am loving navy these days so this top was a perfect pick! If you haven’t noticed by now, distressed denim is my jam! So I styled a more casual look with black denim below. My dressier look consisted of delicate layered necklaces and an A-line skirt.
