How amazing is this Cynthia Rowley dress? I’ve talked about RTR in the past (check out that post here) and I am so excited to be working with them again. This beauty has all of the perfect details and colors for Fall while still being the perfect cocktail length for Houston weather and was an obvious choice for The Luxe Show last week. And the show was just that, LUXE. The fashion show was hosted by Vogue Magazine and Simon Malls and perfectly curated by Cara Crowley, Director of Special Events at Vogue so needless to say the show was amazing. With Cara Crowley and Deondre Hopkins within arms reach and being seated right next to La Perla’s Director and Marketing of PR and Houston’s Store Director, I was certain that they got my seat mixed up with someone else’s, haha, but boy was I pretty excited!

I’ll be honest with you and say I wasn’t totally certain who Deondre as before I saw him walk the runway. I know, I know I am horrible right?! But after seeing him at the show we are basically best friends! Okay, not really. 🙂  I have actually always been more of an NBA girl. The knowledge I did have about football comes from the name dropping I hear on WAGS and basically what I hear in the background from our living room as I meal prep on Sundays.

I became a fan of the NBA after attending my first real game and I slowly have come to “tolerate” football as Brandon takes me to all the NY Jets games we can attend. After seeing Deondre at the fashion show last Thursday I have suddenly become more interested in the Houston Texans. Omg, typical girl  know. We meet someone or this sports player starts dating an actress we love then we are all about them, haha! This last Sunday Brandon landed another great pair of tickets to the Texans game. I don’t know if I was still on a high from the fashion show, but I was actually really into the game and was like “okay, I can get into this”. Plus, seeing JJ up close and personal is a pretty good Sunday if you ask me. 🙂

Even though I am more into football than I’ve ever been I’m still the same person so naturally during the game I start asking Brandon about all the players. Specifically number 75 who looks like a big teddy bear. Brandon begins to tell me that Vince Wilfork is known for wearing overalls with no t-shirt and just did a shoot with ESPN because “duh, my husband knows what kind of information I am asking for”. Google “Vince Wilfork ESPN shoot” guys. He seems so sweet, he is definitely talented and if that front cover doesn’t scream SELF CONFIDENCE I don’t know what does! I’ll leave you with that on this fun Friday!

  21. Hi Roselyn, this dress is amazing. So gorgeous and so nice to hear more about Rent The Runway; I will definitely have to try it soon since I rarely attend events & dislike investing hundreds in something I’ll wear once! I also love your makeup and hair styling with the dress 🙂

  25. That dress is adorable! I used “Rent the Runway” several times when I lived in Los Angeles, but now I live in Oregon, where the weather is too miserable for cute clothes. I’m eagerly awaiting the return of summer and perhaps some trips to warm climates where I can be fashionable again!
