Happy Wednesday loves! It’s no secret that I love the matching two piece outfit trend so today I am sharing 5 matching sets that are office appropriate! First up this pretty set for Ann Taylor Factory.
I love the fit of this tweed top and skirt from Ann Taylor Factory. I also love the tie detail on the sleeve. So many of my work outfits have been from here lately. They have the cutest items at such great prices! I am wearing a small in both pieces for referencing. Our sweet cousin actually works at the Tanger Outlet location and she pulled this set for me. Do you think she knows me? I think so! Haha. I know many of you work in an office as well and are always looking for cute items for the work place so I am linking 4 other great sets below! Be sure to tag me if you purchase any of these sets. I love seeing you all in outfits that I share! #twinsies 🙂
Happy Monday! I know it’s Monday but it’s a bit of a short week so you gotta be happy about that! Plus some blogger gals and I are partnering up to give one lucky winner a $600 Nordstrom gift card!
Giveaway entry and details are at the end of the post!
Outfit Details: Blazer: Zara (sold out but exact dupe can be found here) | Pants: Zara | Cami: Express (the one I wear all the time) | Heels: DSW | Sunglasses: Quay Australia | Handbag: Nordstrom (similar)
Ummmm, can you talk about this fabulous suit?! I know it’s super extra but OMG I can’t get enough of it. It’s so cute paired together but I also wore the pants with basic white cami and if you recall I paired the blazer with some denim shorts in my “How To Wear A Blazer In The Summer” post here.
I am so sorry that it took me so long to share the set here because the pants are now only available in one size and the blazer is completely sold out at Zara but still 3 pieces of good news for you! 1) I found the exact blazer here for the fraction of the price. 2) Zara is having a major sale on summer stuff 3) I also found a bunch of other affordable matching top and pant sets that will totally make you feel like a #girlboss.
P.S. If you are going to wear the yellow set to the office, it would be super cute with a button down white blouse underneath. Just FYI. Don’t be strutting into the office with that crop top saying Roselyn sent you, haha!
Wishing you all an amazing week!

How was everyone’s weekend?! Amazing, I hope! We had a busy (but fun) weekend filled with church, a wedding and celebrating Brandon’s first Father’s Day! Insert all the heart emoji’s.
Today I am sharing this super adorable navy and white gingham dress that I have been wearing on repeat lately! I’ve already worn it 3 times this month. Twice to work and once to church so it’s perfect for the office and the weekend!
Can you believe this dress is from Dressbarn?! I was so shocked to see all the cuteness they have. I was so surprised to see their assortment when Dressbarn reached out to me. They have such cute stuff for summer. I got this embroidered dress from there and this super cute ruffle skirt as well. I have a size 4 in the dresses and a medium in the skirt for reference. They are currently having a buy more save more sale right now but I have to stay clear for the next 12 days 🙂
Also, I did want to point out that I have been blown away by your sweet messages about my No Shop June challenge. I had no idea I would inspire so many of you to take the challenge as well. I’m not going to lie, it’s been pretty tough but it’s also been so fun forcing myself to style my existing wardrobe so many different ways and also giving all the cute items more wear like they deserve 🙂 Like this dress for example.
As I mentioned before, when I share outfits with you guys, it’s not to make you feel like you need to purchase allll the things but to inspire you on how to style your current items. I’m here to help you find your personal style so that when you get up and get dressed you feel good and in return makes you do good. 🙂 That all can happen without breaking the budget. I have to constantly remind myself that 🙂 This No Shop June has been a challenge for sure but it’s definitely a rewarding one. I love all of your sweet messages and please keep sharing those pictures!
Sharing a great summer dress that would be equally perfect for the office or a brunch date with your besties! Speaking of brunch I am also talking about 4 restaurants we have tried this week along with my honest review
Outfit Details: Dress: Target (wearing a 4 for reference)| Heels: DSW | Handbag: Francesca’s | Sunglasses: Quay | Earrings: similar Kendra Scott styles here and here
Are you all having a great week? I sure hope so! My team and I have been spending a lot of time with our vendors who were in town this week for our charity golf tournament which also means we have been trying out new restaurants left and right. If you follow me on Instastories it probably looks like I have just been eating all day long, haha! Yesterday we tried out Postino in the Heights for lunch and it was really delicious! The Panini’s were so big I had to take half of it to go which never happens! #foodieatheart. I would recommend this place and I will definitely be back! They have great wine specials and shared plate options that I think are perfect for happy hour.
Baby Weaver got to join us for his first team meeting last night for dinner, lol. We went to Laurenzo’s Restaurant which I have been to a couple of times for work. Have you guys been there? It’s an El Tiempo chain so their Mexican food is really good but they also have Italian, seafood and steak on the menu. It’s great for a big group because it has a lot of options but I’ll be honest it’s not my favorite place. I’ve had salad’s there as well as their Italian food and last night I tried the ahi tuna steak. Not impressed. If you see me there again, it’s most likely because a coworker chose it. If I want the yummy Mexican food, I’ll just go straight to El Tiempo which is one of my favs. Baby Weaver was loving that he got to try everyone’s dessert though 🙂
Monday after the golf tournament we grabbed a quick bite at Paulie’s Restaurant. It’s a super cute, family owned Italian restaurant. There is also a separate area where you can run in and grab a coffee and something from the bakery. I had the grilled Portobello and goat cheese sandwich. I would definitely get that again!
My favorite new spot of the week was, hands down, Mastro’s Restaurant in Uptown that we tried on Sunday night. Holy smokes, everything was delicious. I had the 8oz petite filet and the group shared gorgonzola mac & cheese, twice baked potatoes, creamed spinach, gruyere cheese scalloped potatoes, french fries, roasted brussel sprouts, grilled broccolini, butter cake and cheesecake. Haha, I know that’s a lot to list but I had to tell you everything we ate because nothing disappointed! Not only was the food 5 stars but the service was impeccable. When the sides came out, I’m not exaggerating when I say there were about 7 people serving us the sides individually. The atmosphere and décor was super chic too. They had a live band that was really great. 5 out of 5 stars for Mastro’s for sure! I love trying new restaurants so be sure to send me your favorites!
Also, after writing this I realize I need to get to the gym today, haha!
This past weekend was a bit busy with work events and I was out of the office for a work/charity golf tournament yesterday so I apologize for the day late post! Today I am sharing another great work wear look plus 8 office rules that aren’t exactly written in your employee handbook but should definitely be followed!
Outfit Details: Dress: Loft| Heels: DSW | Handbag: Mine is so old but linking similar one from Sole Society| Sunglasses: Quay
8 Unwritten Office Rules
1- Use your inside voice – There is nothing more distracting than overhearing someone’s every phone call conversation. Be aware of your inside voice. Everyone doesn’t need to what you are ordering for lunch that day.
2- Clean up after yourself in the office kitchen or break room – I always hear people saying “I wonder what their house looks like if they leave a mess like this here”. Well, honestly that person’s house probably looks fine because they probably clean up after themselves at home! Clean up after yourself likes it’s your own kitchen. Just because a cleaning service comes to clean your office daily or even weekly doesn’t mean you leave your splattered soup all over the microwave. C’mon people, we are adults.
3- Silence your cell phone or at least have it on a low volume ringer– Look, I have a special place in my heart when I hear someone’s ringtone and it’s a song that I love but not everyone wants to hear “Call Me Maybe” every time you get a phone call. Be respectful of the shared office space
4- If you set up a meeting be cognizant of everyone’s time and the topic at hand – Draft and think about your talking points. Do you really need a full hour or can it be shortened to 30 minutes? Everyone is busy so just be sure you are sensitive to everyone’s valuable time.
5- Don’t take food out of the fridge that isn’t yours– why is this a thing at every office? And who are you food thief? I’ve actually had this happen to me and it’s the strangest thing! First of all it’s rude. Secondly, you don’t know if that person is sick or anything like that. Just don’t do this.
6- Keep your space clean– Whether you are in a cubicle or an office, no one wants to see a messy work space. It also may give people a bad impression of you as not only a messy but unorganized employee.
7- What you wear matters – This is so important you guys. First impressions are lasting impressions. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to look put together and clean. I try to share a lot of affordable work wear options here on the blog because dressing appropriately and professionally for work is so important. Dress codes vary from industry to industry so check out what your colleagues are wearing and take a cue from people you look up to.
8- Don’t hover over someone’s desk or stare at their computer screen when talking to them. – Helllooo nosey rosie! Even if you can’t read what is on their computer screen, it still makes you look nosey.
I know some of these unwritten rules seem silly to some but you’d be surprised how many times I wish I could just print and post this up at each of the offices I have worked at. Just a friendly reminder to not be that person 🙂
