As you can probably tell by my outfits, I love my prints! If you are weary of trying the printed pants trend a neutral color like these are a great way to start. I paired mine with a brightly colored cami for the perfect summer look and topped it off with a blazer to make it church and office appropriate.
You could pair yours with your favorite summer color or keep it in the neutral family with a beige or white top. Any color would be equally cute as these pants do all the styling for you!
I wanted to share these books with you that I recently purchased at unveiledwife.com. We received 2 books for us each to read for the next 31 days. Chapters cover topics such as your wife’s/husbands health, clinging to truth, breaking strongholds, relinquishing worries and also a chapter that covers grace in marriage. Throughout the book there are challenges for both of us. I did skip ahead to take a peek at the first challenge, but I won’t share that because we aren’t that far yet. 🙂 The Unveiled Wife has many other books too so be sure to check out her site. I think these books are so great because though Brandon and I pray daily and for each other it’s nice to know that we are being guided to pray for specific areas of each others life ensuring that we are challenged to make prayer a priority. Like anything in life, it’s always a good thing to change things up! Even in prayer! I’ll be sure to share when we are done reading!
I would love to hear if you have read these books or any of her other books!
I hope you all had a great weekend and wishing you a blessed week!
When you have multiple events back to back on a Saturday, you need a pretty dress that you can throw on and go on! That’s where this pretty number comes to play!
Last Saturday was a busy (but oh so fun!) one. With a blogger brunch, housewarming party and a graduation party all in one day (that of course were at all opposite ends of the greater Houston area) I opted for this printed slip dress that was just perfect for all we had to do that day.
Because of its fun, bold print I accessorized simply with a red heel, some Alex and Ani bracelets and perfect for everyday pearl earrings. The fabric of this dress is so lightweight making it ideal for warmer weather and did we have beautiful weather last weekend! Also, no lie you guys I was so exhausted when we got home Saturday night that I just washed my face and fell asleep in this dress, LOL.
So a party dress that is comfortable enough to sleep in? That’s definitely a win, right?! Plus you can make this slip dress perfect for church or work by pairing it with a blazer or cardigan. I mean a dress you can brunch in, party in, pray in, work in AND sleep in? Are you convinced yet?! : )
Also, this dress comes in so many other prints and colors. I am going to need them all! : ) I just purchased this one and I have a pretty good feeling this color and this one will be added to my closet soon.
I hope you all are having an amazing week so far! Thanks for reading!!

Let’s be honest, if I try something on and it doesn’t work for both the office and the weekend I’m probably still going to buy it anyway if I love it, but it is definitely a plus when you find something cute and can style it for multiple occasions!
I am loving the palm print trend so much that it was just a matter of time I was going to find a piece that I could also style for the work week. Once I saw this Topshop beauty I knew it was the one 🙂 Since it is a button up style it can easily be styled with slacks, a skinny belt and strappy heels for the office.
Here I go with my cut off denim again guys! Haha! #sorrynotsorry that I don’t ever think I will grow out of them, but there is definitely a way to make them “look your age”. This chic button up, blocked heel and blush purse does the trick!
So are you all loving this print as much as I am? If you are, you need this top in your life! 🙂
I hope you all had an amazing weekend and Mother’s Day! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to spend the day with my Mom because she’s in CA but of course we chatted via face time before her and my Dad went out for their celebration! I’ll see her again in just a few weeks so I am so looking forward to that!
I hope you all had a perfect day and wishing you a blessed week!
Thank you so much for stopping by and reading!!

This all over floral print blazer is another fun way to bring spring trends into your work place! I love the idea of a nicely structured blazer with a fun print. It’s like saying “I’m all business, but kinda really ready for the weekend!” This blush pink top is the perfect way to tone it down a notch for the office. For a more vibrant look you could always pair it with one of the more bold colors from the blazer; hot pink, emerald green, yellow or bright blue! See, you already have 6 outfits from this one blazer LOL. I opted for the more muted down pink for the office and accessorized with a nude shoe. I actually purchased this blazer from Forever 21 like 2 years ago on sale for $7! Score! Unfortunately, they don’t have this exact one anymore, but I linked 2 similar styles above.
I hope you all had an awesome week and indulged in an extra scoop of guacamole and queso yesterday! But no matter how awesome the week, we are always ready for the weekend. Am I right?!
The hubs and I have a pretty busy one scheduled. I have a blogger brunch tomorrow and he will be at a City of Pasadena event at that time. Then we’ll head to church followed by a housewarming and then a graduation party. Sunday, just the usual errands and I need to get back to painting our guest room. Blah. Why didn’t anyone talk me out of that one?! I think my husband let me proceed with this project trying to prove the point that “I didn’t have the time”. Ugh, now I have to prove him wrong LOL.
What are your plans?! Does anyone want to finish up this repainting/redecorating project for me? I’ll love you forever!! 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by loves! I appreciate you all so much!
If Cinco De Mayo is a day to be celebrated by eating chips and guac than I’ve been celebrating this day every weekend of my life!
Top | Denim | Heels (similar) | Bracelet (use code STYLELYNN for 20% off) | Sunnies (I obviously cannot get enough of these) Get yours at Ditto.com, use code stylelynn20 at checkout for a free months subscription)
What about this outfit doesn’t scream fun?! The tassel trimmed top, the colorful bracelet and bright pink shoes are all ready for a fiesta! The only thing missing are my maracas that I sadly left at home for this shoot! 🙁
Can you believe I found this top at Target? I pretty much bought every Fashion Union item that they had in my size that day. I came home like “babe, I saved 20%!!!” and his response was “do you know how you could save 100%?” LOL! Don’t wanna hear it 🙂 Oh and for those of you who were asking about the Target I go to, my latest finds have been at the Target in Pasadena off of Fairmont Parkway. They always stock that store up so well with the cutest stuff and every time there is a featured designer launch they really do give this location plenty of merchandise!
I paired this fun top with my favorite skinnies from Flying Monkey and accessorized with my favorite pink heels. This outfit would not be complete without my colorful SiammPatra bracelet. Not only are the colors party ready but I love that it is all one bracelet with a magnetic closure! It gives you a multi bracelet layered look, but you don’t have to wake up your husband to help you put on your bracelets. Or am I the only one that does that? LOL. You can get this exact bracelet here and shop any of the bedazzled collection with a 20% discount code, STYLELYNN.
What are your plans for Cinco De Mayo?! I will be meeting up with my sweet friend to celebrate her birthday. We have been trying to get together forever and the first date we were both available happens to be Cinco De Mayo. Maybe a margarita (or 2) will be had!
I hope you all are having a great week! Thank you for stopping by!!

I was on a conference call not too long ago. I had conferenced in from home and there was a new employee on the conference call that I hadn’t met yet, the individual that introduced me via phone said “you may have seen her around the office, she looks like she just stepped out of a magazine”. That was the sweetest compliment ever! I mean, let’s be honest when we get dressed up it’s so that we feel better about ourselves and personally it helps me mentally prepare to conquer the day, but it is always nice to hear that people actually take notice to that time you put into getting ready! Am I right?!
Maybe you don’t feel comfortable wearing your full, all over floral print skirt to the workplace but you can still bring the bright pantones and latest spring trends to your 8-5. I love the Express Editor and Columnist pants for work because they always come in fun colors and prints making it easy to update my office wardrobe. One may look at this honey gold color and think they can’t be worn often, but that is so wrong. This color can be worn so many different ways and paired with so many colors. I love how it looks with cobalt blue so I decided to accessorize the look with cobalt heels and earrings. I think my next move will be pairing it with a red top and heels! And how cute are the bell sleeves on this Fashion Union top?! When I saw it in Target I could not pass it up! Are you guys loving the bell sleeve trend as much as I am?! It is too cute!
How was everyone’s weekend?! We planned ours to be a low key one as we have been traveling the past few weekends and totally needed to get our house, laundry and life in order because the rest of May is scheduled to be cray cray! I finally got some girl time with one my besties Saturday after church and Sunday Brandon and I got all of our errands and cooking for the week done so early I had this bright idea that I would start to remodel/paint the guest bedroom. Great idea right?! Not really…it always sounds like a great idea when I’m browsing pinterest and then when Brandon came home with the sander for me to start on the crown molding, I thought “I’m tired” LOL. Well, needless to say I had to start sanding because I made him go get all the stuff from Home Depot. Stayed tuned for that update. So much for my relaxing weekend! 🙂

It’s Friday, YAY! I’m still in the best mood ever after getting to spend time with family last week and celebrating my Dad’s 70th birthday! If you are following me on snapchat (roselyn_m) you see how cute they all are. We are a very close knit family and I love them all so very much! Every second with them is the best time. 28 days until I’m with them again to celebrate my niece’s high school graduation, but who’s counting right?! 🙂
Okay, I’ll tell you guys more about Dad’s special party in a minute, but let’s talk about this amazing Yoana Baraschi shift dress from Rent the Runway that I wore to his celebration! **Special shout out to my nephew snapping these pictures of me before the party! 🙂
Have you guys used Rent the Runway before? I’ve actually heard both good and bad things about the service prior to me using them, but when the opportunity came up to work with them I thought I should experience them myself so that I can share my feedback with you all. You know what? It was great! For those of you who are not familiar with their service, Rent the Runway is a site that offers beautiful designer clothing and accessories for you to rent. Think about it like having a super fabulous girlfriend that has a dream closet filled with the most amazing designer wear for you to borrow. No more having to spend so much money on a dress that you will only wear once to a party or wedding. Reality is that when I shop I am very aware of price tags and conscious of how much I spend, but when it comes to a formal gala or wedding I definitely want to splurge on something more formal. Rent the Runway allows me to wear that designer dress that I would never pay full retail price for and chances are I’d also never wear it again. All you have to do is select the dates you need your items and pick your size. Also, they will send you a second size for FREE just in case you are in between sizes and we all know depending on the brand, everything fits differently. You receive your items, you wear it fabulously to your event and then you return it with the packaging and label provided by RTR. Simple right? Check them out here for your next gala.
Now onto my Dad’s party! You know what makes me so happy? Seeing my family and loved ones happy? I mean look at these pictures below guys! It just makes me smile!
My Dad had 176 of our family and his closest friends there. He had some special song and dance performances for him, the DJ and photographer were phenomenal and just being with all of my family and my parent’s friends topped the whole thing off. Dad was so happy and so grateful and really that’s all that matters. Oh and he had 4 different flavor cakes because if you hated everything else about a party at least you’ll remember the cake was good, LOL!
Below are more pics of my sweet family! Every single one of us had a hand at ensuring the party went as planned! My oldest brother and SIL put together the best video montage, my other brother and sister ran the guest check in table, my nieces helped with setting up of the cake table and programs and even the little guys helped ensure all the table numbers were placed perfectly on every table. And my nephew did the opening prayer. We all made sure Papa knew how special he is! If you need a party committee to work your next event, call us. 🙂
Oh and if you haven’t already, you have to start following me on snacpchat just so you can see the pictures I was scrolling through from the party. The photographer caught the most unattractive facial expressions of me. They were hilarious and definitely not blog worthy, haha! But if you hurry I’m sure you can still catch them on my snaps! #notcute
Happy Friday loves! I hope you all had a great week!
I would love to hear if you plan on trying Rent the Runway or if you have I wanna hear if your experience was good or bad!
Thanks for reading loves!

I am loving this contemporary and chic top that will easily take you from the office to happy hour! It can be tucked into your favorite pencil skirt, paired with your favorite wide leg trousers or worn with your favorite skinnies like I have styled here! One top with endless possibilities. Plus, this beautiful red hue will look amazing on any skin tone! Target’s site shows this exact top as orange, but it is more of a red color just FYI. Also, sorry it isn’t available online, but be sure to visit your local Target to get yours before they are all sold out!
What better way to style this vibrant top then with cognac shoes and the perfect matching clutch from Marley Lilly. My love affair with anything monogrammed is endless! I love how the clutch comes with a detachable strap!
I hope you all are having an amazing week so far! Halfway to the weekend loves! Also, I would like to give a special shout out to my brother Manny because it’s his birthday today! Everyone have a drink (or a piece of cake) today! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!

These words are so strong and meaningful. What makes you feel this way? As we celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread we are reminded to ask ourselves, “what have I learned since last Passover?” and “what have I done to become a better Christian?”
Leaven is a food additive which causes many products such as bread to rise. During the Feast of Unleavened Bread it represents sin. We remove leaven from our homes and from our daily routines to show that we are “cleansing” both visible and hidden sins from our lives.
I have listened to sermons and read quite a bit on this topic but living through your first couple years of the Feast of Unleavened Bread really teaches you something. I mean let’s think about this, I eat a piece of wheat toast every morning, I keep baking soda in the house for so many reasons and the weeks leading up to Dad’s big 70th birthday celebration this past weekend all I could think about was how many red velvet cupcakes I was going to eat because weekend calories don’t count! 🙂 Even though I was being conscious as the feast began at sundown on Friday, I still went to grab a cupcake Saturday evening without even thinking about it. That’s how easily sin comes into our lives and how easily we can give into it.
I didn’t publish this post to tell you guys not to eat cupcakes (because that’s crazy!) but no matter how many times I hear scripture or read a verse depending on the day I hear/read it a different way. Does this happen to you too?
We’re humans guys, so even when you are living your life trying to do no wrong the opportunity to sin will always present itself. With God, we are much stronger than any evil.
“So, the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a time to concentrate on putting the righteousness of Jesus Christ (the true “bread of life”) into our lives (Galatians 2:20). Naturally, the more we do that, the more sin will be kept out. To overcome sin, we must “not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Romans 12:21). In other words, the more Christ is living in us and the more we are living righteously, the less opportunity there will be for the leaven of sin to find a place in our lives. Living by—eating fully of—the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth is the key to purging out the “old leaven” of sin.”
I hope you all had an amazing weekend! The Mr. and I were in California celebrating Dad’s 70th birthday! Lord knows that good man deserves a big one and we were so happy to be there to celebrate another year with him!
Any weekend with the family is the best weekend! More about his special night coming to the blog later this week!
As always, thanks so much for reading loves!

I am a firm believer that a blazer goes with everything. Wearing this fun graphic tee and cut off shorts alone kind of make me feel like I’m trying to dress like a 21 year old. Okay, maybe I still shop at Forever 21 and maybe some days I still feel like I’m 21, but Lord knows those days are long gone, haha!
This doesn’t mean I am going to shy away from the pieces I love the most! On my “not really feeling it” days, bloated days or my “I just want the world to know how I feel today without saying a word” days, graphic tees are perfect. You can see my past posts here and here on how much I love them and enjoy styling them different ways. So the days of running out of the house with a tee, cut off shorts and flip flops have grown into glamming that look up a bit with a blazer, nice heel/wedge and the perfect accessories to complete the look that’s where SiammPatra has got you covered.
Can we take a moment to talk about how pretty this bracelet is? The minimal and chic design make it the perfect added touch for any outfit. Holy chic is right! Check out this exact bracelet here and look forward to more looks with these jewels because I adore them so much! Also, you can shop the SiammPatra bedazzled collection here with code STYLELYNN for 20% off.
Happy shopping loves and thank you so much for reading!!

Good morning loves! For all our friends and family in the Houston area I pray that you all are safe and flood free! Man, that rainstorm was no joke! I was happy to see it let up early yesterday evening and I really hope all of you stayed safe and ended the day with minimal to no property damage!
Thankful there is currently no rain this morning…yet. Hoping we can all get to the office or wherever we need to be without too much trouble!
Let’s take a look at some OOTD inspiration for a sunnier day!
For those of you who read my New Orleans recap (which I hope you did!) I mentioned an amazing tour that I got the opportunity to take while on my work trip.
Founded by Brad Pitt in 2007, The Make It Right Foundation has broken ground in a couple of states, but they started their amazing work in New Orleans, LA. The lower 9th ward was an area hit the hardest by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 so that’s when the good hearts of the foundation decided that’s where they wanted to start their work. As of my tour last Thursday, they have built 112 sustainable homes that are energy efficient, built to meet the highest standards in green building and designed by renowned architects from around the globe. Make It Right gives families the opportunity to work closely with these designers and builders to personalize their homes to make them their own. Not only do they help them financially get into these homes they ensure the homes are being built in the most efficient manner so that they do not become a burden for the families in the years to come. We had the honor to have dinner with the COO of the organization and he told us all of the many great things still to come. One things includes a community inspired “marketplace” for all of the neighborhood, locals and even tourists to enjoy. I am so happy I got to take this tour and I am excited to see how it grows.
Please check out the links below because they tell the story best! Also, be sure to add this to your list of things to do when in New Orleans!
Though eating beignets in New Orleans may sound like a lot more fun than being in the office today I am super excited it is a short work week and we will be flying home to California to celebrate my Dad’s 70th birthday!
Whether you are looking for the perfect top for work or for travel, Lily James Collection has got you covered!
Last Wednesday I flew out to New Orleans for work and though the days were jammed packed I was fortunate enough to attended some great meetings with my management team and let’s not forget the delicious meals!
While traveling for work, it’s very important to stay comfy while still being stylish so be sure and carry a tote like the one above to hold your back up shoes and make up in case you have to reapply during your long days!
Eateries You Must Try:
Antoine’s -when you go be sure to order the Baked Alaska and Café Brulot Diabolique after dinner! You may have seen this on my snapchat but I need you to experience it for yourself! It’s amazing and reason enough to go back to New Orleans 🙂
NOLA
Café Du Monde
Cochon
Mother’s
Where To Shop & Things To Do As A Tourist:
Shop Canal Street for all of your favorites such as Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, etc.
Shop Royal Steet if you are an antique and art lover
Visit Jackson Square for street vendors galore! Maybe even take a horse carriage ride, grab your lunch to go and sit outside to people watch!
Go to Pat O Brien’s, order a hurricane and start your walk on Bourbon street. So I actually convinced Brandon to do this. For those of you who know him, he’s not a big drinker, but I am so glad we got to experience it. We actually did it pretty early in the day because we wanted to catch an early dinner (we’re like 80 year olds LOL), but the people walking the streets were still as entertaining as ever!
Visit the Garden District
I also got the opportunity to take an amazing tour with the Make It Right team. This is definitely a must do guys! Have you heard of this before? I was so moved, it will definitely be a separate blog post.
Have you all been to New Orleans lately? What are your favorite things to do?! Mine was definitely enjoying all of the yummy restaurants!
Thank you so much for reading today! Enjoy your Monday!! 🙂
