Gosh, it’s been a while since I’ve done a Old Navy haul for myself! I’ve been buying so many of Landon’s items from there but it’s been a while since I bought myself stuff. They had soooo many cute new arrivals and I’m so excited to share today! Plus it’s always so much more fun doing a try on with Cindy !
I definitely selected the wrong size in these shorts. They arrived in a size 2 and I was like “umm that’s not going to work!”. Surprisingly I was able to button them up for the try on but will definitely need to exchange for a size 4. I am wearing the 5″ inseam shorts and Cindy is wearing the 7″ inseam. Love the gingham print for summer!

This may have been my personal favorite combo from this Old Navy haul. Can’t go wrong with a floral top and linen shorts for summer!
Shop our outfits:
Old Navy always has such a great pajama selection! I’m wearing a small in top and bottom and Cindy is wearing a large in her tank and bottoms. Such fun prints!
You know I couldn’t pass up this leopard dress! It actually looked like it was going to be so short on the hanger but when we both put them on we were shocked it wasn’t short at all! Definitely office appropriate and can be styled for happy hour as well!

These boho style tops with embroidered detail are so cute! As you can see it can easily be dressed up or down. True to size.

This jumpsuit is SO comfy! Actually Cindy bought it weeks ago and told me that I needed it so of course I ordered it! I am wearing the small and Cindy is wearing the large. True to size.
Shop our outfits:
I feel like linen shorts and stripe shirts are always a must for summer so these outfits are a no brainer! Both tops and bottoms are true to size. I’m wearing a small and Cindy is wearing a large. She also snagged this 5 pack of masks. I’ll link everything below.
Shop our outfits:
How cute is this top?! Love the tiered design and per Cindy it is double D friendly!
Shop our outfits:
Okay, I LOVE these pants! As stated in stories these pants are the same style but the stripe ones are thicker so we feel like they won’t stretch out as much as the chambray ones. Cindy had the chambray ones before and she said they stretched out a lot but I did not have that problem with the stripe ones. They are cute to pair with a white tee like Cindy did or over a swimsuit!
Shop our outfits:
Okay, I am so sad because this dress sold out SO fast! Fortunately there is another really pretty print that I will link below but also hoping this one gets a restock. I am also really loving Cindy’s chambray jumpsuit and wish I would have grabbed it for myself too lol. Maybe I will ๐
I hope ya’ll enjoyed this try on session as much as we did filming it for you! If you have any questions, feel free to drop them below!
I am loving that the bodysuit trend continues to stay strong through all seasons and today I am linking up 10 cute ones I recently found that are all under $50 and perfect for summer!
Bodysuits can easily be styled casually with your favorite shorts or even a denim skirt. They can also quickly be dressed up with wide leg pants or skinny jeans. I love how this Champion bodysuit gives you a sporty vibe and the tie dye one is a little more on the girly side! Iโm wearing a medium in both.ย
With all of this extra time at home, I am constantly looking for more ways to make our weekends extra special and not like โitโs just another day at homeโ. I partnered up with Bed Bath &Beyond to create a little summer vacation in our own backyard. Fancy lime water and all!
I was able order all of the things we needed to create our own summer vacation from Bed Bath & Beyond. I was so excited to find this lemon print inflatable pool for only $20! I had a feeling Landon would love it and from the pictures, I think itโs safe to say he does LOL!

We filled our trays with fruit to eat and slices of lime to infuse our waters with!

Bar Cart โ My exact bar cart is sold out online, but linking some other great options here!
We had such a fun time creating our little backyard summer vacation. Itโs definitely something we will be recreating frequently this season! Also a plus that these items are easy to set up and take down!
How will you be creating a fun summer vacation at home?!
I was trying to count how many times I have moved and if Iโm remembering correctly, I have moved a total of 8 times.
8 times, y’all!! And I have never used movers. In previous moves I chose not to use movers because honestly I felt like I really didnโt have much stuff to move. I mean it was just me and my Ikea furniture in the past so I didnโt feel the need to use a moving service. One time I even packed up a Uhaul and drove it all by myself. Iโm pretty sure Destinyโs Child โIndependent Womanโ was playing far off in the background somewhere.
This last move was a little different. Brandon and I had accumulated so many more things together as a married couple and I cared a lot more about the stuff we were moving. It wasnโt just โthrow it in the truck, itโll be fineโ stuff.
Plus, we had all of Landonโs things which I was sure would fill up a moving truck on its own!
On top of having to move more valuable furniture this time around, we were in the middle of a pandemic and even though I just gave you all that Independent Woman talk, there was no way I was going to help Brandon get couches upstairs with a toddler on my hip, LOL.
I began looking around for Houston moving companies and spent so much time reading reviews on their websites and Google. I went to their social media pages to see who had used them, did they have a good experience? I finally narrowed it down to 2 local companies.
One of my top 2 choices was 3 Men Movers and I remembered my girlfriend Keli had used 3 Men Movers in the past so I reached out to her and she had nothing but great things to say about the company.
That was all I needed to hear because I trust what she says. Thatโs why I really wanted to share my experience with y’all! We are internet besties after all, right?!
Why I wouLD RECOMMEND 3 MEN MOVERS
If you are looking for a local mover or maybe you donโt even know you need a mover yet, I am sharing all of the details in this blog post so that you can refer back to it if needed or share with a friend who is moving. All the links in this post will take you to a 3 Men Movers page that they made specifically for y’all to get quotes and also you can use ROSE30 for $30 off your service.
So initially, we were only interested in booking the actual moving service: breaking down our furniture and moving our belongings from our old house to our new house. I was on a call with some of the team members one day and we were discussing moving day, how to make it as smooth as possible, etc. In that conversation they mentioned the โpacking crew.โ Of course that caught my attention, LOL. If it was what I thought it was, I wanted in on it!
It was exactly what it sounded like. A group of professionals who come over prior to your move and get everything packed up for you and ready for the movers. She began to explain that these individuals are also professional organizers so they also are available to unpack and organize you in your new home as well.
Ummm,WHAT?! My mind was blown! I was like โyes to all of this right now,โ LOL
So clearly, as you saw in my IG stories, we selected all 3 services and I have no regrets! Below I am going to answer the top 5 questions that came through on stories during moving day, as well as more info on each of the services we selected.
3 Men Movers Packing Services
The day before the move a 3 woman crew came over and we walked through the house and I told them what we wanted to pack up. There were some things we packed up on our own and also a few things that we would need for the next day so I put those things aside. Basically, I just said โdonโt pack these things in the corner but pack everything elseโ.
About a week prior to them coming over I went through and donated a ton of stuff I knew we didnโt want to take. I would suggest doing the same if you add on the packing service. Itโs pointless to pack up things you arenโt going to use any longer or things that you donโt have a spot for in your new space. You can also check out the 3 Men Movers packing tips page here for more preparation tips for your next move.
The moving crew will be your crew that disassembles and wraps your furniture for the move. Anything that goes into a box is what the packing crew handles.
3 Men Movers Moving Services
I feel like this service is pretty black and white, but I do want to reiterate how kind and professional Daniel and his crew were!
To be completely honest, I 100% expected like one ding or scrape on a wall because I mean, thatโs the name of the moving game right? y’all I was SHOCKED that we did not have ONE incident. But thatโs not the only thing that sets 3MM apart from the other local moving companies. I had a chance to chat with their marketing team and even photographer and they all raved about how family oriented the company was. I feel like you can just tell that when you have happy employees, that their company is treating them very well, you know?
They also explained how careful they were about selecting and doing background checks on their employees. I mean I know that is such a weird thing to talk about but honestly so important when you are talking about a service that is coming into your home and driving off with your things. I just felt really good about the move every time I spoke to someone from the company about questions I had about the move.
There are options to reserve the crew for the first move of the day, 8am, which is what we did, or you can do a โflex scheduleโ where they come out in the afternoon whenever they are done with their first move.
3 Men Movers Unpacking & Organizing Service
Okay so I asked y’all on Instagram, โif you had to choose between a company packing for you or unpacking for you what would you choose?โ
SO many of you voted for the unpacking option and I donโt blame you! Some of you even said that you still had unpacked boxes from years ago LOL. That would SO be me! The day of the move they arrived in the afternoon, maybe 2 hours after the moving crew arrived at the new house. They got straight to work.
Again, we walked through the house and I told them how we wanted everything. The only rooms they did not fully unpack were the garage and Brandonโs office because Brandon wanted to do both of those things himself. I was like โunpack all of my stuff pleaseโ LOL.
Top Six Questions You Guys Asked About 3 Men Movers:
1. How Much Do They Cost Per Hour? โ For each service they charge $140 per hour plus a trip charge (for travel and gas) that is added to your total. The trip charge will depend on distance of your move. For me it was $100 but they will be able to give you a rate when you get a quote.
2. Do They Bring Packing Supplies? โ Yes, the packing team has all of their own packing supplies and if you chose, you can have them use their boxes and add to your total or you can purchase your own supplies and they will use what you have and you will only be charged the per hour rate.
3. Does 3 Men Movers Take Apart Your Furniture For You? Do They Put It Back Together At The New House?โ Yes, the moving crew disassembled all of our furniture for us. When they unloaded our furniture at the new house, the only thing they were not able to reassemble for us was the baby crib. They do not reassemble baby furniture for safety reasons so just make sure you ask them about any specific pieces you might have questions about. But for us, the only piece they did not reassemble was the crib. 4. Should You Tip? If So, How Much?โ Honestly, I think this is a personal preference but we did tip and there is an option to tip when you sign them out. We had an amazing experience so I definitely wanted to tip them! As far as the amount, I would say no less than 15% and 20% plus if you were blown away by their service. Again, this is all personal preference and not required. 5. Do They Have Insurance In The Event An Item Is Damaged? โ Yes, 3 Men Movers is licensed, bonded and insured. In fact, they were explaining to me how important it is to ensure that whatever mover you choose, confirm they are licensed, bonded and insured. Read more about why itโs important here. But in a short answer, yes they are insured and are required to pay $0.60 per pound per item damaged.
6. Did I Feel Strange Having Someone Unpack and Organize For Us? โ Ummm, thatโs a hard no from me, LOL! Anyone can come organize for me anytime, haha. But in all seriousness, I walked the entire house with the unpacking/organizing team so that they knew where we wanted everything. For example, I told them where I wanted the dishes, utensils, spices, coffee things, etc. in the kitchen. And even if you change your mind about placement weeks days later after you are becoming settled in your new home, itโs nice to just have it already unpacked.
Moving it to another drawer or whatever it may be is easy. Unpacking, it is the worst part, LOL. Also, I do want to mention, you can hire this unpacking service for a minimum of 2 hours. So if you donโt want some of the rooms unpacked by them, you also have that choice. The 2 rooms we did not have them unpack were Brandonโs office and the garage. Brandon wanted to organize his stuff himself.
I hope this blog post was helpful! I know how difficult it may be to trust a company to come into your home and move your personal belongings so I wanted to share our positive experience with 3 Men Movers with you in case you are looking for movers in the future.

5 Kid Friendly Things To Do In Houston THis Summer While Still Social Distancing
Today I am sharing 5 fun things you can do around Houston right now that are family friendly and will allow you to still social distance yourself from others! I am truly enjoying these days at home with my little family but some days, I’m like “get me outta here” LOL. If you can relate, read on!
5 Things To Do In Houston While Still Social Distancing
Go Fishing – Landonโs been asking for a real fishing pole. I keep thinking heโs going to forget about it but every time we drive past a body of water he reminds me I havenโt gotten him one yet! Here is a list of fishing spots around the Houston area.
Explore Nature At The Houston Arboretum – See all hours of operation here along with details about the different trails you can take. These little minds are so curious these days, I think any toddler would love walking the dirt walking trails and seeking out different animals and plants. Here is a PDF you can print out to do a self guided scavenger hunt.
Drive In Movie Night – I have not been to the drive for many, many years! Like the high school days! But omg I think Landon would have a blast watching a big screen from the car eating popcorn and all the yummy snacks. Check out all the showings at The Drive In At Sawyer Yards.
Drive Through Zoo or Safari – Ya’ll I was so excited when I saw that you can feed the Zebras at Franklin Drive Through Safari but saw it’s 2 hours from Houston! It’s a 300 acre drive through safari filled with exotic animals! I might have to convince Brandon to take the drive there soon! But have no fear friends, there is a bit of closer option to Houston and it is Bayou Wildlife Zoo. It’s 80 acres and also drive through. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen someone post a zebra when they visited too. We are planning on going this weekend so I’ll let you know LOL.
Go To The Beach – Last but not least, go to the beach yaโll! I mean I know itโs not crystal blue waters over here but the sound of the ocean and toes in the sand is good for the soul! Bonus points if you can make it out on a weekday. Thatโs when Landon and I like to go and thereโs like no one there ๐ but we have gone on a Sunday before and even with a lot of people everyone was really respectful of distance and we were so far away from everyone. Landon had a ton of fun running in the sand, throwing his shield like a frisbee and building sand castles!
I hope this list gave you one or 2 new ideas! The pictures in this post are from P6 Farms last month. They are closed for the Blackberry and Sunflower picking season but will reopen for Fall festivities so I’ll be sure to do another Houston activity round up then!
9 Recent Home Decor Items We’ve Purchased And Love
Happy July! To be honest, in mid March I thought this year was never going to end! Can you believe we are halfway through the year?! Like, literally! 28 weeks have passed and we have 27 to go! So I guess if we are still procrastinating on those #newyearnewme goals, we should start now LOL.
This year has been full of surprises. Some good, some bad. I know we will all look back on 2020, like ugh, that year! But I am trying to focus on the positive that will be coming from this season. One being sister. We have no idea when she will be home but we know the date is coming soon! Another good surprise for this year was buying a new home. We did not plan on moving during a pandemic, but hey, God had other plans and I am so grateful.
Today I am sharing 9 home decor pieces that we purchased for our new home and have been loving!
Entry Way Light Fixture – I am in love with the over-sized lantern light fixtures. It reminds me of modern farmhouse home decor. Although, modern farmhouse isn’t 100% our style, we do love accents of it and this light fixture gives us just that! We got the matte black for our entry way!
Kitchen Light Fixtures– Brandon and I actually agreed on different ones but then I found these and hoped we wouldn’t remember what he picked when they arrived. Unfortunately, he remembered LOL but fortunately, he liked these too. I was hoping these would be more like a brushed nickel but they are more polished. I still really like them! We got 3 to go above our kitchen island.
Velvet Tufted Bed– Ya’ll! I am obsessed with this bed frame! The tufted and velvet detail are all of my bed frame dreams come true! I seriously did not think Brandon would agree with my choice of bed frame or dressers but he did and I am so happy! #happywifehappylife LOL
Mirrored Dresser– Such a great quality piece and so often can be found on sale! Just an FYI in case you run across it when it’s fully priced, just wait a week and it will go on sale! It goes on sale on and off all the time. It was a beast to unpack if you caught my stories LOL but at least you know it’s safely package as the entire thing is mirrored and super delicate.
Mirrored Night Stands – I was hoping to find the exact matching set to our dresser but honestly these look so similar to the mirrored dresser that it totally could pass as a set!
Name Book Stack – Our book stack makes me smile so big! I actually kept it in a box until we moved because I wanted it to be the first piece of home decor that we put on the fireplace in our new home. Seeing sisters name along with ours every morning reminds me that she will be home with us very soon.
Alphabet Rug – This adorable rug is perfect for a playroom or kid’s room! I knew I wanted it for the playroom but kept seeing retailers have it for $100+ and I did not want to spend that much on a playroom rug. So glad I finally found this one!
8 Cube Storage– Same thing with this piece. So many retailers sell items like this for $150+. I finally found this one for under $100 and snagged t up real quick! It’s currently sold out at Target and Amazon but linking it here in case you want to get on an email list for when it’s back in stock. I also saw reasonably priced ones at Ikea! Shelves like this even make a great piece for offices and entry ways!
Storage Baskets – This 4 cube storage set is really great quality. They fit perfectly in the white shelf unit too. Such a nice way to organize toys, markers and such! I love that these give off more of a home decor vibe more than a “it’s just storage” vibe, ya know?!
I am excited to continue sharing home stuff with you guys! Decorating our new space makes me so happy and finding stuff on sale for ya’ll makes it even better! If you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask!
Yes, you read that right! All of these cute kimonos are under $25! I personally own 5 of them LOL. I love that these are all lightweight and perfect to wear with an outfit or a swimsuit coverup!
If you have been watching my stories lately you probably know I have been having too much fun playing around with some โnew to meโ products from Tarte Cosmetics!
I have always loved trying clean skincare products but I never really dipped into any clean beauty makeup products because for some reason I had this thought in my mind that I wouldnโt like the colors or finish as much as I like my other makeup products. I also thought if they were โcleanโ makeup products they wouldnโt last all day in this Texas heat!
Well, I decided to give the Tarte Sea products a try (the Tarte Sea collection is deemed clean at Sephora) and boy did these products prove me wrong!
Today I am sharing two different makeup looks. All of the products I am wearing in the first look are from the Tarte Sea line aside from the highlighter.
Concealer:Tarte Sea Hydrocealer (wearing shade 32N medium neutral) I love the Tarte Shape Tape but if you are looking for something a little more lightweight and hydrating, I would highly suggest trying this one!
Bronzer: Breezy Cream Bronzer (shade Grace Bay) I would suggest grabbing the Breezy Blender Brush for easy application. This bronzer gives a perfect hydrated glow!
Eyes: I dabbed a little of the cream bronzer on my eyelids for a little more summer glow while still keeping it natural looking
Lip Gloss: Tarte Sea Jelly Glaze (shade grapefruit) This lip gloss legit smells like grapefruit! It has the perfect light coral tint for everyday wear and also has hyaluronic acid to help keep your lips moisturized.
Highlighter: I dabbed a little highlighter on my cheekbones and down my nose from the Tarteist PRO Glow & Blush
Lipstick: Tarte Sea Color Splash Lipstick (wearing shade Cha Cha) Ummmm, I am slightly OBSESSED with this lipstick! The color is WOW and itโs super moisturizing and hydrating unlike a lot of other red lipsticks I have tried! The vibrant red is a perfect color for a summer date night!
Which look is more your vibe? Whether itโs the more natural look or the go glam look, Tarte was kind enough to give me a discount code so you can try out these products too!
Use code ROSELYN15 for 15% off anything from their website.
I am wearing a size medium in both the top and bottom. The top comes in 5 other colors and another option for an outfit is to grab these shorts to make it a monochrome two piece set. I opted for the mint green linen shorts because I currently don’t have any bottoms like this and I thought they would be cute to wear with some tie dye tops I have!
Also, if you are like me and haven’t worn heels in a while, these Marc Fisher espadrilles are a good way to ease back into it lol. They are really comfortable and super cute too!
Pink Lily Boutique HAUL And Instagram Story Takeover
I am so excited to be a part of Pink Lily Boutique’s 12 Day Takeover where they will be showcasing women of different races, ethnic backgrounds, shapes and sizes! Yesterday, June 15th, was my day and if you weren’t able to tune in live, you can still catch it on their stories before it expires tonight!
Below I am linking all of the Pink Lily items that were part of my try on haul!
USA Crop Tee | I sized up to a large because I didn’t want it to be really cropped on my but since it’s already oversized, I could have definitely done a medium. Just stick with your true size for this tee.
Printed Dress Styled 3 Ways | True to size. Wearing a medium. I love that it can be styled so many different ways.
Star Print Romper | So cute!! I sized up to a large and glad I did! The length on the large is perfect for me and fits perfect everywhere else. I think the medium may have been too tight around the chest area.
Tiger Print Graphic Tee | Another item that can be sized so many different ways! Wearing a medium.
Tie Dye Babydoll Top | OMG, I am loving the silhouette and color of this tie dye top! I got a medium but I think it definitely runs big sizing down.
