White Denim Pieces For Summer

I shared these two white denim pieces during my Try On Tuesday this week and they are both so good. I really wanted to wear the jumpsuit to the rodeo but I had to think about all of the rodeo food I was going to eat and I was afraid my white denim wouldn’t stand a chance!

However, I can’t wait to style it all the ways this Spring and Summer. If you are in the market for some white hot denim, this post is for you!

White Denim Jumpsuit

This denim jumpsuit is actually a cropped jumpsuit but on my 5’3″ self the length is great! It has the perfect amount of stretch so it’s comfortable and flattering. I am wearing a size medium. This white denim number can be dressed up with boots or heels but also can be worn casual chic like above! Scarf and bag are from Amazon. My gold sequin headpiece is from Asos like 2 or 3 years ago so they no longer have the exact once but I did find a silver one on their site. Linking pieces below.

White Denim Romper

When the white denim pieces are so good on Show Me Your Mumu’s site, you can’t just pick one! The romper and jumpsuit give off a whole different vibe and I am here for both ๐Ÿ™‚ I am wearing a medium in this white denim romper as well. It would be super cute with sneakers! Linking this look below.

Are you a matchy matchy kind of gal or would you rather mix things up? Both for me depending on the day ๐Ÿ™‚

I came across this super cute zoo dot print at Loft a few weeks ago and I couldn’t decide between the navy or white so I grabbed a little bit of both!

Making Breakfast Fun with Walmart+

This post was done in partnership with Walmart.

My favorite way to start the day is waking up before the kids, sipping my coffee in peace and then cooking Landon and Camila a super fun breakfast! I know most of you see me sharing our breakfast ideas on Instagram stories but what I donโ€™t show yaโ€™ll is all the dirty dishes most of those breakfasts make. Rainbow waffles donโ€™t come easy okay LOL.

Today I am sharing items that you can purchase from Walmart that will make your breakfast for kids super fun but less of a mess than my kitchen is sometimes. Cute egg molds, pancake molds and unique waffle makers to make your fun mom life that much easier!

fun breakfast ideas for kids

I use my Walmart+ membership regularly to shop items like these and so much more as the membership provides free delivery on groceries and more! Walmart+ has $0 delivery fees and the same low prices as in store so no hidden fees or mark ups ($35 order min. Restrictions apply.).

Along with free shipping with no order minimum (Excludes most Marketplace items, location & freight surcharges), Walmart+ members also receive member prices on fuel and while so many other memberships and services are increasing their prices this year, Walmart+ is holding their $98 a year (or $12.95 a month) membership fee! If you donโ€™t have Walmart+ yet, you can sign up here.

Itโ€™s no shocker that I own most of the items shown above but what I just ordered is this superhero waffle maker and hard boiled egg mold. These are so fun! The kids love hard boiled eggs but I never knew how to make them fun! Walmart read my mind, haha!

Purple Mini Dress But Make It Rodeo

I am so excited to live my best life with Ricky Martin and some girlfriends at Rodeo Houston tonight! Or should I say live Mi Vida Loca ๐Ÿ™‚ I was thinking about wearing this dress but it’s a little humid in Houston today so I don’t know if I want to have on long sleeves while I am sweating dancing my butt off LOL

I was a little bummed earlier in the week because we found out last minute that my sister wasn’t coming in for the weekend like we had planned ๐Ÿ™ She’s actually the reason we got the Ricky Martin tickets lol so I think she’s a little more bummed she’s missing out on him. Minette, I promise to have a skinny margarita for you and tell Ricky you love him!

If you guys are looking for a pretty Spring dress, this Buddy Love one is so cute! I love the girly print and I now own this silhouette in 4 different colors. It’s that good! I am wearing a medium for reference.

Beauty Empties: Love It Or Leave It

I have 4 empties to share with you guys today! 2 skincare products and 2 makeup products! Let’s get into it!

drunk elephant product review

Elf Cosmetics Camo CC Cream

What is it?: A medium to full coverage color correcting foundation with SPF 30 protection. “A multitasking dream cream with peptides and niacinamide known to plump, hydrate and smooth the appearance of your skin while protecting with SPF.”

How To Apply: Can be applied with Elf Cosmetics duo brush or beauty blender.

My Opinion: This Elf Cosmetics CC Cream is known to be a “dupe” for the It Cosmetics CC Cream and ya’ll know I love my It Cosmetics CC Cream! Because of this ones $14 price tag I decided to give it a try! Although both infused with collagen, hyaluronic acid and niacin which is great for brightening and evening out skin tone, I actually did not love the Elf Cosmetics CC Cream. It definitely has more of a matte finish versus the glowy one It Cosmetic gives you. It’s also a little heavier than the It Cosmetics one which I don’t totally mind when wanting to wear a full foundation but a CC Cream should feel like second skin and this one did not. This will not be a repurchase for me.

Elf Cosmetics Poreless Face Primer

What Is It?: A face primer that helps fill in enlarged pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. This primer is infused with tea tree and vitamins A & E for restorative benefits and helps blurs imperfections.

How To Use: Apply to clean skin prior to makeup application to prep skin. Use a small amount and blend evenly on your face.

My Opinion: Okay initially I could not get over the smell LOL. I can’t quite put my finger on what it smells like but it definitely has a scent. Some reviews said it is the scent from tea tree oil. Aside from the scent this $10 makeup primer worked really well! You don’t need to use much product at all and it gives you a smooth, silky like finish. It definitely helps camoflauge pores. I would definitely repurchase.

Artistry Renewing Foam Cleanser

What Is It?: A foaming face cleanser designed to be microbiome-friendly. “This cleanser effectively removes impurities while calming your skinโ€™s defense barrier“.

How To Use: Dampen skin with warm water. Dispense cleanser onto palms and work into a lather. Gentle massage over skin. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use AM and PM.

My Opinion: I had never even heard of this product until I got a PR Package from their team. Once I finished the bottle of facial cleanser I was currently using I began using this one. Ya’ll, I love this cleanser! It’s super gentle on the skin and the foaming effect leaves you with an ultra clean feeling. Immediately after each face wash, it left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. I would definitely repurchase.

Drunk Elephant B Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum

What Is It?: A serum formulated with pro-vitamin B5 and pineapple ceramide, to deliver steady hydration throughout the day, leaving the skin looking healthy and more illuminated.

How To Use: Apply B-Hydraโ„ข to face, neck, chest, hands, or any place on your body needing increased hydration. Mix with any Drunk Elephant serum, oil, or cream to lock it in.

My Opinion: I ordered another bottle before I could even write this post! This vitamin B gel was exactly what my skin needed during these colder months. It absorbs quickly so it doesn’t feel greasy and it’s extremely hydrating and lightweight on the skin. Like mentioned above, it can be used on the body as well. I mixed this serum in with the Drunk Elephant body lotion when we were in super cold, snowy weather a few weeks ago and it didn’t wonders for my skin that week. 2 thumbs up for this product!

Here is a closer look at my newest cutie from Fashionphile. I bought it for myself in December as a “bish you’re doing a good job” gift ๐Ÿ™‚ LOL I am in love with the color, size and velvet details. A definitely treat yoself moment and I have no regrets!

I love that even though these pink pieces are so vibrant, they are also so versatile too. Pink is my favorite color if you haven’t noticed ๐Ÿ™‚ so any chance I have to wear pink, I’m gonna do it. These pieces can easily be styled from the beach to the streets!

9 Things To Do In Salt Lake City With Kids

We had such an amazing time in Salt Lake City! Being in the snow and surrounded my snow covered mountains is a magical feeling! It makes the scenery so picturesque it almost looks too perfect to be true!

Even though wrangling the luggage, the kids and my husband lol through the airport can be a little crazy on travel days, seeing the world through Camila’s and Landon’s eyes make it so worth all the craziness. We absolutely love traveling with the kids!

There is SO much to do in Salt Lake City with kids so if you are wondering what is worth visiting, I am sharing some things we did that you don’t want to miss!

9 Things To Do With Kids In Salt Lake City

  • This Is The Place– On our first full day in Salt Lake City we spent the morning at This Is The Place Heritage Park. The perfect spot to learn about when the pioneers first arrived in Utah all while keeping the kids entertained! I’m not a huge “let’s go learn about history” person but Brandon is and I can even say even I really enjoyed this!! We started with a little train ride around the “town”. The park is designed to make you feel like you traveled back in time to the 19th century. In addition to all of the pioneer buildings, staff is dressed in historical dress and there are a ton of activities for the kids to get involved in. During the summer the kids can pan for gold, watch a show in the giant teepee in the Native American Village, watch the men carve wood at the wood carving shop, play with pioneer era toys and so much more! And if the kids aren’t tired out yet, there’s a really nice playground area on property for more running around!
  • Snow Tubing – As you can imagine during this time of year, you have your pick on places to go snow tubing. Woodward Park City was actually closer to downtown Salt Lake City where we were staying and was highly recommended but the minimum age requirement there was 4 so we drove the 45 minutes to Soldier Hollow so that both the kids could go snow tubing and it did not disappoint! The minimum age there is 3. When we arrived we realized they were the longest tubing lanes in all of Utah! They had an amazing sound system and there was music playing all day. They kids were dancing between slides. It was my most favorite day of the trip for sure!
  • Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum – The Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum is 3 floors and over 60,000 square feet of interactive fun. They even have a separate “quiet” room for painting. We could have probably spent an entire day here. Landon said after snow tubing (and my amazing snowman skills lol), this was his second favorite thing about the trip. The STEAM Lab, honey climber and “car shop” where Landon got to pretend to be a mechanic were his favorite things to do there.
  • Clark Planetarium– The was right across the street from Gateway Children’s Museum so you could do both in one day with a lunch in the Gateway area. The Clark Planetarium is such a fun, hands on museum where kids can learn about space and it’s FREE! Yes, you heard me right. So if you want to give your wallet a break during vacation, visit Clark Planetarium. It’s 3 floors of interactive exhibits.
  • Visit Thanksgiving Point – There is so much to do at Thanksgiving Point. It’s about a 25 minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City but while you are there you can spend the entire day here. Whether you want to surround yourself with beautiful butterflies at the Butterfly Biosphere, milk a cow at Farm Country or galavant through themed gardens and man made waterfalls at Ashton Gardens, Thanksgiving Point has something to do for all! Just FYI though, I pictured it as everything in walkable distance (not sure why) but if you want to visit multiple museums you will have to drive a short distance to each. They are all in the same vicinity so you could definitely see multiple museums in one day!
  • The Museum of Natural Curiosity– I highly recommend this museum for the curious kids in your life! The Museum of Natural Curiousity is one of the amazing museums located in Thanksgiving Point. I know I mentioned the area above but this was Camila’s favorite museum so I felt the need to tell you it’s a must for kids! It has a ginormous indoor treehouse, “kid city” with a pretend music studio, theater, bank, etc. There’s a section with an indoor water play area and a room that teaches kids all about hurricanes and earthquakes. We also spent a lot of time chasing eachother along the pond and sliding through the rock caves.
  • Utah State Capitol- Take a self guided tour through the Utah State Capitol and print these worksheets out for the kids to make it fun with a scavenger hunt! It’s stunning architecture just to even look at from the street but here is a page from the Utah State Capitol that includes activities for the kids and also other visitor resources.
  • Ogden Dinosaur Park – With 65 life like dinosaurs around paths and hidden in the woods, what is there for a kid not to love here?! Ogden’s Dinosaur Park is about 40 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. There’s also an area where kids can practice digging for fossils, two park play areas and there is a connected indoor museum with large dinosaur and gem displays. This museum is not that big so I would say 2 hours is plenty of time!
  • Trolley Square– We didn’t have this on our to do list originally but stumbled upon it as we were searching for a Brazilian Steakhouse one afternoon. The steakhouse we ended up at was only a 4/10 TBH but the Trolley Shopping Square was so cute! It’s designed around old trolleys that used to transport passengers in the 1800s. The Trolley Square has shops, restaurants and gym studios like Barre and Orange Theory if you want to get your sweat on.

There are so many fun things to do in Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas with kids! We had such a great time. We were even able to cheer on the Houston Rockets at a Jazz vs. Rockets basketball while we were there. Unfortunately, the game did not end in our favor but still fun lol and such a nice stadium!

If you have been on the fence about taking a family trip to Salt Lake City, here is your sign to BOOK.THE.TRIP!!!

Work To Weekend: Relaxed Pocket Cardigan

Happy Monday from Salt Lake City! We are currently bundled up in winter gear but I didn’t want to forget to share this work to weekend outfit idea with ya’ll!

Wear To Work

trendy work outfits

Colorful slacks are such a fun and easy way to spruce up a work wear look! Love these emerald green ones but Loft also has a ton of other colors and styles. They are a great place to shop for work wear outfits! Wearing a 4R in the green slacks.

Wearing this cozy cardigan buttoned up and front tucked gives you a polished looked for the work place but next I’ll share how to style this oversized cardigan for a casual weekend outfit.

Shop this look:

Wear On THe Weekend

Wearing this long cardigan open and with a skirt gives off a whole different look. Also, tennis skirt outfits are all the rage right now but if you aren’t totally sold on wearing a pleated skirt off of the courts, this seamed skirt gives you the same look. It’s so chic and put together but still comfortable. It’s giving me Princess Diana vibes. IYKYK.

4 Reasons You’ll Want To Stay At Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa

Counting down the days until I can make my way back to Miramar Beach again! Cindy and I had such a fun weekend last month filled with great food, drinks, a spa day and a lot of relaxation. I mean what more could you ask for?! Whether you are planning a girls weekend, family trip or a romantic getaway, I’m giving you all the deets about why you’ll want to stay at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa.

1. LOcation-

Hilton Sandestin is a beautiful beachfront destination that gives you front row seats to the sugar white sands of the Emerald Coast. The photo above was taken from our hotel room balcony. In the words of Chandler Bing, “could it be more beautiful?” ๐Ÿ™‚ Not only are you on the beachfront but this resort is just a short drive away from shopping, dining, entertainment centers and state parks!

With the hotels amazing location, it also keeps you close to many local happenings. We were there during the 30A Songwriters Music Festival so we took the shuttle bus for a less than 3 minute drive to the venue.

2. Rooms

Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa has approximately 590 rooms that are a mix of traditional hotel rooms, deluxe junior suites, family parlor suites, ambassador suites and 2 extra special suites, The Presidential Suites. There are two towers on property and we stayed in the Spa Tower. The other tower is the one that had the family parlor suites which look amazing for a family vacation. I mean what kid doesn’t like bunk beds right?! And there is a separate living area in these rooms with sleeping sofa so it’s spacious with privacy.

I can’t wait to experience this stay with the kids!

3. Dining Options

From gourmet to room service, Hilton Sandestin has got you covered. We had the pleasure of dining at 4 of their signature restaurants in addition to taking advantage of in-room dining after dancing in the rain at 30A Songwriter’s Music Festival.

I can tell you firsthand that you don’t want to miss the delicious and creative creations at Hadashi Sushi Bar or the Tuna Tartare and Key Lime Martini at Seagar’s. Everyone we spoke to during the trip told us we had to eat at Seagar’s and I am so glad we decided to pop in on the last night. I was kind of mad at myself for not coming in sooner but honestly I may not have eaten anywhere else if I had dined at Seagar’s first lol. The ambiance was so swanky. There was a pianist to set the mood. It would be a great spot for a date night but Cindy and I also enjoyed our girls night there!

Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill is closed during this time of year but is the properties most popular dining spot as it sits overlooking the beautiful oceanside view alongside the 2 outdoor hotel pools. So bummed we didn’t get to experience it but yet another reason I need to make my way back to Hilton Sandestin this summer!

4. Amenities

In addition to the breathtaking beachfront, Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort has several sought after amenities. Guest have full access to the four, award-winning, championship golf courses โ€“ Raven Golf Club, Burnt Pine Golf Club, Baytowne Golf Club and The Links Golf Club and if you aren’t pro just yet you also have access to The Dunes putting course at Sandestin.

If golf isn’t your thing, you can take indulge in the offerings at Serenity by the Sea Spa. Cindy and I got amazing massages and spent a few hours relaxing at the full day with spa mimosas in hand. You could also book a facial, mani/pedi, or get your hair done at the salon!

We took advantage of all of the time we could on the beautiful, soft white sands. All guests are provided chairs, umbrellas and towels when reserved. There is also a designated area for Hilton Sandestin guests on the beach so it never feels too crowded. If you wanted a break from the sand, you have the option of enjoying 2 outdoor pools or the indoor pool.

I also spent one early morning in the 24 hour fitness area to burn off some of that yummy food but there are tennis courts, bike rentals and a yoga room if those are more of your thing.

Because we went at the end of January we did not partake in any of the water activites like snorkeling, paddle boarding or kayaking but Hilton Sandestin can help you get those activities set up too.

The Kids Krew and Kids Night Out program is another Hilton Sandestin offering that they are working hard at to bring back. It’s a program where kids get to meet other kids, partake in fun activities all while Mom and Dad get to enjoy some one on one time and all us mama’s know we need that!

sandestin hotels

Oh the bonfire, smores situation on the beach was also set up for us by the Hilton crew! I would highly recommend that as well!

Well, I know recapping our stay made me want to book another stay at Hilton Sandestin! Will I see you there?!
