Lavender Midi Dress + Houston Restaurants You Should Try

Happy mid week loves!

Sharing a great summer dress that would be equally perfect for the office or a brunch date with your besties! Speaking of brunch I am also talking about 4 restaurants we have tried this week along with my honest review

Are you all having a great week? I sure hope so! My team and I have been spending a lot of time with our vendors who were in town this week for our charity golf tournament which also means we have been trying out new restaurants left and right. If you follow me on Instastories it probably looks like I have just been eating all day long, haha! Yesterday we tried out Postino in the Heights for lunch and it was really delicious! The Panini’s were so big I had to take half of it to go which never happens! #foodieatheart. I would recommend this place and I will definitely be back! They have great wine specials and shared plate options that I think are perfect for happy hour.

Baby Weaver got to join us for his first team meeting last night for dinner, lol. We went to Laurenzo’s Restaurant which I have been to a couple of times for work. Have you guys been there? It’s an El Tiempo chain so their Mexican food is really good but they also have Italian, seafood and steak on the menu. It’s great for a big group because it has a lot of options but I’ll be honest it’s not my favorite place. I’ve had salad’s there as well as their Italian food and last night I tried the ahi tuna steak. Not impressed. If you see me there again, it’s most likely because a coworker chose it. If I want the yummy Mexican food, I’ll just go straight to El Tiempo which is one of my favs. Baby Weaver was loving that he got to try everyone’s dessert though 🙂

Monday after the golf tournament we grabbed a quick bite at Paulie’s Restaurant. It’s a super cute, family owned Italian restaurant. There is also a separate area where you can run in and grab a coffee and something from the bakery. I had the grilled Portobello and goat cheese sandwich. I would definitely get that again!

My favorite new spot of the week was, hands down, Mastro’s Restaurant in Uptown that we tried on Sunday night. Holy smokes, everything was delicious. I had the 8oz petite filet and the group shared gorgonzola mac & cheese, twice baked potatoes, creamed spinach, gruyere cheese scalloped potatoes, french fries, roasted brussel sprouts, grilled broccolini, butter cake and cheesecake. Haha, I know that’s a lot to list but I had to tell you everything we ate because nothing disappointed! Not only was the food 5 stars but the service was impeccable. When the sides came out, I’m not exaggerating when I say there were about 7 people serving us the sides individually. The atmosphere and décor was super chic too. They had a live band that was really great. 5 out of 5 stars for Mastro’s for sure! I love trying new restaurants so be sure to send me your favorites!

Also, after writing this I realize I need to get to the gym today, haha!

xo, Roselyn
