Fall/Winter

Cozy Rust Sweaters

Hey friends!

I’m head over heels for this comfy rust color sweater I couldn’t wait to share it here. It’s a bit of the splurge but this Free People style is totally worth it! If you are still not too keen on the price tag I am linking similar options for a more affordable price!

Did you all have an amazing weekend? I sure hope so! I was so exhausted after the last few days that I even took a 2 hour nap yesterday! It was pretty amazing. We went grocery shopping and I literally didn’t even unload anything. I told Brandon “just leave everything on the counter because I’m going to cook it right now. I just want to sit down”. 2 hours later I woke up on the couch and the groceries were put away LOL. But in my defense I did manage to get my butt up and cook for the week!

Friday morning we drove out to Waller County which is about an hour and a half away from my house so that we could set up for the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure event which was on Saturday. Why I wore a long sleeve top to set up and decorate a tent I have no idea because it was so SO hot! We rushed back to Houston to make it to the Astros World Series Championship parade. It was really cool but it was also really hot and really crowded. I would like to note that my coworker and I only rushed back to go to the parade because Brandon said he wanted to go and the plan was to meet him at my office…he didn’t even end up going!! I was out there sweating squeezing through the crowd for nothing! But it’s okay because on Sunday he helped me set up for our friends’ baby shower so now we’re even 🙂 Marriage is compromise. 🙂 So anyway, between the setting up of events, the bike ride and celebrations I needed that nap so bad! Plus I feel like in my old age (since my birthday last Tuesday haha) my body needs more sleep.

Okay so this sweater. I love the waffle knit design and how cozy it is but I think my favorite thing about this sweater is the color. I am wearing a size small and I paired it with a white cami for a little layering action. I love Free People because they always have the cutest sweaters and are such great quality but I can understand not wanting to spend $100 on a top so I am linking four other options below that are less expensive!

P.S. If you haven’t  seen it yet, I updated my Shop tab to include some of my favorite Nordstrom Fall Sale items. They are items that I have already purchased and/or I am totally crushing on.

Let me know if you have any questions.
