Hi friends! I am currently on my flight to New York and I usually can fall asleep within 5 minutes of boarding but I am too excited for Fashion Week right now so instead I’ll let you all know what I am up to today and share this Carrie Bradshaw inspired look!

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear Carrie Bradshaw is her tulle skirt outfit. The second thing that comes to mind is SHOES! The pair I am wearing here are actually the ones I wore on our wedding day so they are extra special to me and I will wear them any chance I can get. See babe, I told you I’d wear them again! 🙂
So as you can imagine, I am crazy excited right now as I am heading to New York for my first Fashion Week! Even in my younger days as a buyer I always went to Mercedes Benz LA Fashion Week but I have never been to New York Fashion Week. Not only will I be attending events and shows but I am traveling with some of my best blogger pals this morning and will get to catch up with more of my friends from all over the US while I am there! I really made it a priority to solidify meetings with PR companies that I work with. If you are a blogger this is so important. Of course the shows and parties are important (and fun!) but since many of the agencies I work with are based in NY I haven’t gotten any face time with them. All of our business is done via phone and email. Meeting face to face is the best way to build that relationship. So while it may all look like fun and games during fashion week it is a lot of work…before, during and even after!
My first show will be this evening and I am pumped because Tadashi Shoji was one that was on the top of my wish list and I couldn’t believe it when I got the invite. Trust me guys, even though I have a full schedule for the next 5 days I received a lot of “no’s” as well. But like my husband always tells me, “their loss” LOL thanks babe. You always me feel 100! 🙂
