SculpSure with Mia Plastic Surgery

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I hope everyone is having an amazing week so far! Mine started off with an amazing visit to Mia Plastic Surgery so I’d say it started off pretty great! I seriously could not wait to share my SculpSure experience with you all so let’s get right to it!

First of all, I have to admit that I was a little gun shy about sharing this with you all but during my 25 minute procedure I immediately knew I had to share this! Since I’ve posted on my snapchat stories I have been getting so many questions and I am so happy to answer them here today!

The most common question that I’ve been asked is, is it CoolSculpting?

The answer is no.  Although both procedures are FDA approved and non invasive, the SculpSure treatments are delivered by a laser system that heats your fats cells, essentially melting them. CoolSculpting uses a device that freezes your targeted fat cells.

SculpSure vs. CoolSculpting

SculpSure uses a heating technology to “melt” away fat cells

CoolSculpting freezes targeted fat cells

A SculpSure procedure is 25 minutes

A CoolSculpting procedure can take up to is 60 minutes

SculpSure can treat up to 4 areas at a time

CoolSculpting treats 1 area at a time

Both procedures require no downtime

Both procedures claim to remove up to 24% of fat

So, why did I choose SculpSure?

Honestly, initially the winning factor was that SculpSure would only take 25 minutes. Upon educating myself a little more about the differences I’m really glad I chose SculpSure.

My visit to Mia.

I’m laughing as I type this because Monday was such a busy day full of meetings that I was literally eating my sad lunch in my car as I drove to my appointment. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by the most welcoming (and stunning!) team which included sweet Susie who handles their marketing and the one who introduce me to Mia. I had my consultation with Livi (body goals!) their patient coordinator, and even got a few minutes with Dr. Phi who also was so humble. After conversating with the both of them I quickly knew that they were going to take good care of me.

My procedure.

Seriously you guys, I was extremely shocked about how fast the 25 minutes went by and how painless it was!

*Disclaimer: some patients have said that they feel a little discomfort from the heat. Discomfort but definitely tolerable.

So I was expecting some sort of discomfort but to my surprise I was at max heat in 14 minutes! You can read in more detail of how they do the procedure here, but to give you my personal, non medically educated version 🙂 read on.

The first thing we did was take “before” pictures from a few different angles. Then I stood in front of a mirror and discussed the sections I wanted to do. I originally went in for my lower abdomen and was considering doing my flanks but wasn’t totally sure.

After realizing how quick and painless the SculpSure was I immediately decided to do my flanks as well. They said that flanks would be a little more sensitive so I was anticipating that, but I was at the max heat in 3 minutes!! Again, everyone is different but this is coming from someone that tears up every time I get my eyebrows waxed! LOL

The procedure starts with a cooling sensation then slowly the temperature raises. As you are comfortable they will raise the level. Like I said, I was at max heat in 3 minutes on my flanks and at 14 minutes on my lower abdomen. Everyone is different and they will make sure you are comfortable. Throughout the whole procedure you will feel the increments of heat followed by a cooling sensation.

After my procedure.

I was out and about continuing on my day as usual! Later in the evening I felt a little soreness in my lower abdomen like I had done a bunch of sit ups but that’s about all I felt!

Results can be seen as early as 4 weeks but they recommend waiting 6 to decide if you need a second procedure. Full results can be seen at 12 weeks and I cannot wait to share this progress with you! I’ll be sure to share on my Instastories as the weeks come!

More about Mia.

MIA stands for Minimally Invasive Aesthetics. They aim to pamper and cater to the needs of each person individually.  You can read more about Mia here and all that they offer here but I can personally tell you that this is a team that you can trust. As always, I only share products that I would truly use on my own and I especially wouldn’t promote something like this if I didn’t 100% have a good experience myself. I’m so thrilled that I got to work with them and share this positive experience with you.

If you have been wondering about SculpSure or any procedure like it, you shouldn’t definitely call them for a consultation and they will answer any questions you have. Maybe I’ll see you there because this girl will definitely be back!

Also, to show you how amazing they are, MIA is offering $425 off the SculpSure procedure when you mention my name! So get in there girls (and guys)! Summer is right around the corner!
