Corkys + My Favorite Houston Brunch Spots

Hi beauties!

Today I am sharing what I wore last weekend to brunch and also my top 5 favorite Houston brunch spots!

Also, I am just going to say it because I know you are thinking it, yes this is like the fifteenth time you’ve seen me in these Corkys wedges, but they are just so darn cute and comfortable!

I know this is weird, but up until now I have felt like my heels are so much more comfortable and easier to walk in than wedges. I know you are probably thinking “girl, you’ve been wearing the wrong shoes” and you are probably right, but I think I have finally found the right ones!

Corkys has so many great styles. Check out their site here. Not only are they cute and so comfortable, but they are extremely affordable too!

These “Frayed” olive wedges paired perfectly with this cold shoulder dress from Target. I love the colors here because they scream “Fall is coming” but the cold shoulder dress and wedges scream back “not in Houston!”. 🙂 I’m sure we will get there, but until the weather cools down my closet hues may say Fall, but I will be in summer weights for a while.

I wore this outfit to brunch a couple weekends ago and it dawned on me that in my everyday life I am constantly talking about food so maybe I should share my favorite eateries with you! Today let’s talk my favorite brunch spots in Houston.

Here are my top 5:

Brasserie 19– I must say weekday nights are the best for happy hour and people watching at B19, but their Sunday brunch is definitely why I keep coming back! You’ll find me eating the Poached Farm Eggs (Benedict) substitute the bacon with salmon. Yum!

Backstreet Café– They could serve nothing else but bloody mary’s and I would keep coming back 🙂  But if you are hungry the cheese plate and fried egg sandwich (hold the bacon) are amazing!

Sweet Paris– Crepes on crepes on crepes! Oh and did I mention they have the most delicious crepes. This cute restaurant makes you feel A-OK about basically having dessert for breakfast! The dulce de leche and nutella crepes are a must try and so is The Feast crepe.

Ousie’s– This place has delicious plates for brunch, lunch and dinner as well. Like SO delicious! The asparagus omelet might not sound that tasty, but the gruyere cheese makes it oh so delicious!

The Dunlavy– Oh my goodness, I will never get over how adorable this place is. I need every chandelier that is hanging in this place. Okay, I typically don’t get breakfast plate when I’m here because I am just so obsessed with the kale and brussel salad! But I will tell you that the cheese biscuits are definitely something you have to get when you go. I don’t care if you are on a diet. It is worth every.single.calorie. And they are mini size so basically zero calories to begin with 🙂

Are any of these places on the top of your list? What are your favorite brunch spots in Houston?!
