Chic + Comfortable Airport Style

Happy Friday!

Any week that consists of flying home to California to spend time with family (and only a 3 day work week) is considered a great one in my book!

I don’t know about you, but I love my early morning flights! I like not feeling rushed during my last day in the office since I still have the evening to do my last minute packing or errands and then get up the next day, fly and still have that entire day to enjoy at my destination. And by early morning, I mean alarm is set for 3am. I know it may sound crazy, but I like landing early so I still have the entire day to enjoy my destination. In this case, my family!

So whether you are flying at 4am or 4pm I am sharing some easy tips to ensure you stay airport chic.

COMFORT

You can still look chic and be comfortable. I am literally wearing my pajama tee in these pictures guys but dressed up with comfy distressed jeans you may have never known. A cute graphic tee and flats are pieces that guarantee comfort but still stylish. No one over the age of 7 should be wearing pajama pants to the airport. I promise you there are many closet essentials that are just as comfortable! Leggings, graphic tee, cute poncho, boyfriend jeans, embroidered tunic, button down top, maxi dress, etc. So there, I just listed 7 reasons no one should be in pajama pants at the airport.

LAYERS

I always bring a layering piece because I am freezing on the plane once we take off. A blanket scarf or a light jacket are good options so you take off and put on as you please.

ACCESSORIES

Keep the accessories to a minimum so that you can get through security quickly. I will be totally honest and tell you that I do not always follow this rule. I mean if a statement necklace is making my airpot OOTD, sorry not sorry hubby and person behind me in line. 🙂 Also, a side note is that TSA pre check is totally worth paying for. Keep your shoes on, laptops in the bag and all that jazz, but sometimes even my statement jewels don’t make it through pre check. That’s a risk I am willing to take.

FLIGHT ESSENTIALS

Sunglasses and headphones! Whether it’s 3AM or 2PM I am sitting on the plane with my sunnies and headphones. Although I am an extremely friendly person and love to meet a “stranger” there’s something about a plane and the lack of personal space that unless we are traveling together (friends, family, husband) I don’t really want to jibber jabber. 🙂

**Okay another side note, I have been wanting to use the term “jibber jabber” for the longest time! Brandon said that in conversation a few months ago and I have never heard that term used before. I am seriously cracking up as I type this and just got inspiration for a new post! Haha! Stay tuned!!

What is your airport style?!
